My car OBC did prompt. I usually send my car in once the OBC alert goes yellow meaning 1,500 km to service.
Then I think you must be a real driver for the OBC to prompt at such a short interval. My car hit close to 35k before the light came on. Looks like I have been too gentle with her. Lol. Sayang kereta.

I went through some posts from other sites for the F30 and previous generation. The BSRI is already a longtime problem. Feel like cheated.

And I have been offered to extend the BSRI to 5 years for about RM9,000!!! Worth??

Since you said BSRI is a cheat then why do you still want to extend it? If you buy because you want to save money on servicing cost, then I say forget it. It's cheaper to pay on your own. If you buy for the "warranty", please be informed that BSRI is not a warranty. Find out what is covered and what's not. However having a valid BSRI helps you when you are selling your car. Hope this helps.

Was explained by SA last time that the service interval set accordingly at 30K KM. But the service prompt may pop up earlier depending to driving style. Eg. If you drive really relax (ECO PRO) most of the time, then the service maintain at 30K +-. If you always on S+ the it may prompt earlier.

Dunno if i kena tipu.

my car has 20,000km interval.

I service my car every 15,000km for optimal performance. approximately once a year.

Servicing more often is good, but usually a waste of money.
