Callum,

Wearnes charged me about RM 520 for oil plus oil filter. That was last December when they had some promotion of some sorts.
Is this rate for 320 or 328? Also is the service rate regulated by BMW msia or varies from one service center to another?

I had verbally talked to my SA, as expected they do not recommend you to send your car outside. But, if we use original filter and recommended oil, should this be an issue ? I am sure you will only pay half of what the SC is charged.

If I were u guys, I would insist on 10k km oil change esp since you are spending a one fifths to a quarter of a million ringgit on ur wheels.

Bug those guys crazy. In fact make it a condition of your purchase. These guys have to change. This BSRI is absolute nonsense.

For new engine, we usually change it earlier for the first time, then the subsequent cycle will follow the 10-12,000km.

I did 1,500 km service. Not a recommended practice by manufacturer but it's well worth doing it at own cost if you've been gently running it in during that period.

It depends on how you ramp your car. If you are a REMPIT style, then go shorter cycle.

Had my first oil change at 7200km today, the oil change service light came off last week at 2000km to oil change. Job consist of oil change, oil filter change, air cond filter change and new sets of wiper. At the same time, claimed warranty for rusted door hinge nuts, all replaced to my satisfaction. Auto Bavaria Penang reset the next oil service to 9000km. I was told my batch comes with 12000km service interval at the point of purchase, but this is better than expected.

AB Penang Service Manager Mr Wong is a very nice person, always listen to customer feedback ! I give a thumbs up to him for his professionalism.

Pchan, my car currently clocked at 6300km, dashboard shows another 2800km to go. Likely mine will go for the 1st service at 9000km instead of 12,000km as set.

Sh_callum, looks like your service interval is also default to 9000km. I'm considered a returning customer as I still know some good chap there from my previous E90 ownership even though I bought the F30 from ingress Dsara this time around.

Wow not bad u guys getting 9k instead of 12k intervals. Really pity the other guys with an absurd 30k interval

I learnt the hard way mate, my former E90 comes with 25k interval. Had to pay out of my own pocket for in between oil change at 12k during the BSRI.

Which is why I asked ingress specifically the service interval before I signed on the dotted line. Was told march 2013 onwards mfg batches comes with 12k. Apparently some of the folks experience 7k, 8k, 9k, 12k intervals post march 2013 batch.

Pchan, my car was originally showed 12,000km. However, after several trips to KL from Penang, it has changed to 9,000km. I believe the computer monitor my driving behavior then concluded the remaining mileage. I am not sure my guessing is correct or not, I ramp my car most of the time between 150km/h to 180km/h and occasionally at 200-210km/h.

Definitely based on driving behaviour.
Mine was set at 12k, it came down to 10k.

Being rempit seems to payoff during bsri I suppose :) The more you ramp and rempit, the shorter the service interval hence more service within the 60000km.
