are u sure its a countdown?
as i said b4, those days i did 1.3k its also written 8k wor

It jump by the '000.. and not linear.

How to check the BSRI countdown?
I tried playing around the iDrive but could't find it?
Now my LCI clocking closed to 4k KM and i not sure whether to send for service.

If you can't even find your service info, it probably means you haven't accessed even 50% of your iDrive and other electronic goodies of your car. Suggest you flip through your handbook.

Schwepps..not all like u... he came to the forum to seek answers ma. 9W2zek..probably a TT session will do ;-)

Have a great week ahead

Glock, I understand what you're getting at. No point calling the BMWM telephonist. Call the SCs of IA, QA, SA and AB, and explain your situation. Only they can tell you whether they can claim your BSRI at 23K. I bet you some will be blur, some will tell you no, and some will tell you yes. Go to the one that says yes. I have a feeling that IA and QA will say yes. QA has a brand new service centre off the LDP.

If all tell you no, call the After Sales Director in BMWM who signed the letter, and complain that the dealers are not practising what he's preaching.

Let us know the results - it would be interesting for us to know what's the rule during this transition from 25k to 20k interval.

i just get a confirmation from sapura auto tech. They'll honour the 20k service for my car at 23k km...YAY!!

now my mileage is 17.5k...so i dont think i will be sending the car for lube change in between at my own cost then.

9w2zek,

Firstly, read yr manual on the BSRi topic. Under yr idrive2, go to MENU, click VEHICLE INFORMATION, then check inside engine oil & it will give u a countdown on when to service. Since yr new LCI is now 4k, i think yr BSRi countdown will be asking you to take in for service around 8000km. As we hv discussed earlier in the same thread, if u want to service earlier b4 yr BSRI is due, but the oil & oil filter change is at yr own cost la. Then after this 'unofficial' service, u just wait until yr actual BSRI countdown, then bring in for yr 'foc' BSRI service again.

The forumers hv indicated abt RM500 to RM600 for this unofficial service, so its really up to you to make yr own decision, whether to spend the money or wait until yr foc BSRI service to reach about 8000km.

cheers.
