What to do doc, im far away from Malaysia... Its easier to decide when we could actually experience it. But this discussion helps me to narrow down between the Huper and 3M now. Its good to hear from the lads experience... been so helpful..

Honestly, both would be able to work well :) It's just like choosing between Michelin and Continental tyres or BMW vs Mercedes. Both are reputable brands so it's a matter of which one you prefer. If you don't like it, go for the other brand on your next car, haha.

thanks alv.. i guess the next step is to see it myself.. and DECIDE.

I am on 3M... liking it....
I think V kool is not bad, mom's E90 has it but 3M seems cooler with the light blue/ grey hue..

Recently installed vkool 55 on an f11 with panoramic roof. Seems to work well as the car is significantly cooler in the mid afternoon and the smart tag works better than with vkool elite which I had on an E39. Pricey though.

what colour is the v kool 55? are they greenish? and do u mind to share the price range..?

The 55 is greyish, unlike elite which was greenish. It suits my carbon black exterior very well. Standard price is 3500 but I have panoramic sunroof which counts as TWO sunroof, each being 480 extra! 3M would have been much cheaper but I heard that there are issues with smartag when using 3M. Nevertheless, others have had great experience with 3M as well so I am considering the 3M for a Q5 given it also has panoramic sunroof and will cost another bomb with v kool.

Sent my car for 3M this morning, 3m crystalline 50 front and 40 for the rest. Will share my opinion later.

Sg Crystalline sereis comes in CR 90, 70 and 40... why are there such differences in SG and MY?

OT as it's for my E39 (non-F10,11,07)

I'm very satisfied with recently applied Huper Optic Ceramic 40 all round. RM1.6k with 5-year warranty. Smart Tag friendly. Even the car park access card (no battery, just card type) at my workplace could go through

Previously on V-Kool Elite, Smart Tag could go through but car park access card couldn't, have to wind down window and show it with da hand.
