Tinting your bimmer

I'm using V-vool, it is true that u cannot wind down the windows for 48 hours. It costed me 1.9k in Kuching, KL cheaper kah?
When i clean your windows, please make sure you wind it down to clean the top part of the window also, u can see a lot of dirt built up there.

but one thing mouse. is your car more than 2 years old?
from your situation, i am positive that it is just a normal failure of the power window lifter. we have all gone through it before havent we ... fellow e46ers?
there was also another thread on this window lifter matter (maybe more before this). its always the passenger sides which will go first. its is true if you don use them ocassionally they give way. this is confirmed by the parts supplier of a bmw specialist in old klang road. i met him and we chatted (that day he was delivering a few sets of them!!)
my car is 43000 kms old but of course it is 3 year old car. already the 3 windows (not the driver side) lightly snapping on certain down movements!
the way i see it (possibly). your car windows are not used frequently. when they were fixing it they may need to wind them down a little bit to stick the top (from the inside) - thats should be the only time they need to wind them down. even at the cutting out the shape, they do it from out side. once they stick to the bottom, they wind it up back to put it in place after less than 45 minutes the sides are all done.
there should not be any reason for them to misuse or abuse your windows. i know because every of my tinting i AM ALWAYS there throughout. a bit KIASI lar

there other thing about vkool installers (majority) is that they DO NOT remove the panel. they just pull out the top part of the door panel. so again they are assured of not harming any of our internal parts and we have a peace of mind of the parts being protected by the panels. (ie airbags, cable, power windows, lifters and rust proofing etc.)
any tinting would have made the lifter snap. even if you did not tint the window, it time for the lifter to go ady.
at least i think so. but there is always other possibilities.

sorry bro, dunno anyone in loke yew coz i think most of the tint shop is individual owned, if u hardworking abit and have time, go a few and ask around for best $, i am very sure u can get 1.8K, i bet my goldfish on that :top:keeekeee;272951 said:
