Hello all, i know this question may have been repeated a million times by now but im in a bit of a tough spot here on deciding what to choose; so i resort to the experts here after stalking the forum for many months. I test drove all three units and immediately fell in love with the 328i but my pocket only allows up to 320i (this is a little small for my family). So i decided to look for 2012 premium 328's and found a few now im unsure of what i should be expecting if i pick this unit up (repairs /damage/knock knock noise etc as warranty is limited to 1 year from bmw). Should i instead go for a premium 2014 320d or new 320i? Confused..thanks in advance...

How about less than 100km, pre registered 2014 328i M Sports? You can get them for around 260k.

Technically its still above my 240k bracket, plan to dump as much deposit as i can to reduce the loan amount, so a premium model seems like an option now but should i go for a 2012 model is my question...

Add just 5k more can get new car. Sounds like a better deal to me. And it's 2014 car, not 2012. The cars were registered roughly Sept 2014; still got 13-14 months warranty and 5 years bsri.

Btw I am not sales advisor. I happen to be shopping around right now. So just share.

I'd go petrol if you can, even though your not saving money on fuel, given the current situation with B10 biodiesel supposedly going to be implemented its unclear what will happen to demand for diesel cars.

My 2 cents, all of those options are great so buy the one you can comfortably afford. But i personally would buy one 2014 or newer.

My ideal garage would be having these cars (realistically speaking):

1) e90/F30 320d
2) current ride

The torque and good FC of the 320d is really appealing. Agree with keantan tho, waiting to see either B10 biodiesel or Euro 5 diesel will be implemented would be a good move if one decides to go down the 'd' path.

So it seems im going down the petrol path after some investigation here, but lets say im heading for a 2012 328 what should i watch out for? Any dealers i should avoid :63: (for local models)? or just stick to premium dealers?

Good choice on 328er. Premium dealers you pay a bit more for piece of mind, otherwise you must do necessary homework full service record of.
