I wish to purchase the 328i SKD version as the CBU doesn't seem to offer some interesting features namelyi. contactless tailgate (very cool feature - don't think can retrofit)ii. HUD iii. active steeringiv. adaptive damperv. reverse camera But my sources indicate that the best 328i SKD Batch One could come up with is "active steering" and nothing more. Hmm... now I regret not made up my mind earlier snapping the CBU (of course better kick than a knocked down version) as I learned from this forum that CBU units (both Batch One & Two) have all been taken up. *Grumpy*Question 1 - I heard that after 335i, 328i, 320d next in the pipeline are 320i, 318i, 318d, 316d... have you heard of the same thing?Question 2 - Anyone bought a bimmer from Tian Siang Premium before? How's the service department as compared to AutoBvr?Many thanks.

info don't know if it's true or not.. for f30, f10 no ckd.. all skd

for question 1 - x de dengar pon

BMW 320i EfficientDynamics Edition in preparation.

With the new BMW 320i EfficientDynamics Edition, an additional EfficientDynamics Edition petrol model is now being developed based on the successful diesel model BMW 320d EfficientDynamics Edition. The highly efficient sedan is powered by a 125 kW/170 bhp 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbo engine. A manual 6-speed transmission takes care of power transmission. The BMW 320i EfficientDynamics Edition sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds, with fuel consumption at 5.2/100 km and CO2 emissions at just 124 grams per kilometre (all figures provisional). The market launch is planned for the end of 2012.

A high level of efficiency also characterises the new entry-level model BMW 316i. The sedan is currently in preparation and is expected to round off the range at the end of 2012. Its 4-cylinder in-line engine delivers 100 kW/136 bhp. Power transmission is effected by a 6-speed manual transmission or an 8-speed automatic transmission. The BMW 316i does the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.9 seconds and its level of CO2 emissions is at 134 to 137 g/km (all figures provisional).

That's the trend now for German cars... smaller cc with similar power output.

Press Release 13.05.2012

From the summer, BMW xDrive will be available for the first time in conjunction with three petrol engine variants of the new BMW 3 Series Sedan. A fourth model is expected to be available from autumn, the BMW 320d. Furthermore, with the BMW 330d, the first model of the latest generation will be offered with the straight six-cylinder diesel power unit. Another model in preparation is the highly efficient BMW 320i EfficientDynamics Edition.

So many new and cool features these days. It's certainly good to have and I really think distributors in Malaysia should allow buyers to choose their optional features. It would be a shame not to include these features.

I have thought many things over these few weeks. And I have finally come to the conclusion that the 3er just appears too cramped in the cockpit and the whole combination in the cockpit looks very busy.

I am now resorting to an entry model of F10.

Other "people" need to be given the right choices to choose from!most of them ,for the love of the vehicle r just buying them coz can't do much about the inavailability of optional additions to customise or not aware wats being done by the local dist!!SO,BMW Msia should NOT allow tat to happen!Restricting choices of specs is disrespecting the preferential choices of customers!!For the majority of those new happy owners of the F30,congrats!!but,i'm already reading some dissatisfactions;ie-delivery,waiting period, inavailability of optionals....

I believe other brand facing the same problem too. I learn that BMW individual might be my choice if talking about personal configurations. But i also understand/know that i am not rich enough to pick this option. Ha...

Wait for the official price list. You are the boss of your cash.

yeap, always believed so, considering how much a malaysian have to pay for a bmw. our cars come with a lot of stuff we don't want and those stuff we want aren't available. few years ago we could get grey import units with high specs but these days grey imports have rather awful specs.
