1. Lack of car park space.
Very true but then believe we had more cars than anticipated.

Suggestion: Use the cleared land on the higher ground - I believe it was done by Souled Out for its patrons.

2. Time too short allocated for viewing the car and mingling.
Yup, very true. Some more the rain had to cut the time even shorter.

3. Lack of information about cars on display.
Yup, very true. Not sure who owned which cars...

4. No aircon room.
Not a major issue. Was initially hot and humid but it got cooler as the sun went down.

5. Cannot test car or do donuts.
Hi, it is supposed to be a TT session and not a car testing / donut session.

6. More event needed to keep the event exciting.
Thot meeting up with each other was exciting enuff?

7. Food ?
Yummy and price was ok.

8. Table arrangement?
Ok at first but later we had "others" taking over the tables...

9. Hotel arrangement?
Not applicable.

10. More counters for registerations.
Was ok when I registered...

Agreed,
Suggestion: Should start earlier, say 3:30pm, 4:00pm

3. Lack of information about cars on display.
Yup, very true. Not sure who owned which cars...

Some are very shy to talk about the car. Suggest minimum information should contain (preprinted)

Call sign
Model Year
Model
Engine size
Engine Mods

4. No aircon room.

Agreed

5. Cannot test car or do donuts.

Nobody is going to do donuts with my car!!!!

6. More event needed to keep the event exciting.

Thot it was good enough - Did the BMW Malaysia rep come? Perhaps should have given a speech or something, or maybe announce discount parts purchase for club members (This is my wishful thinking).

Agree with proposal for a larger name tag, I am getting older, its hard to read.

7. Food ?
Yummy and price was ok.

Not too concerned. The bimmers on display was good enough substitute, especially the white 2002.

8. Table arrangement?
Ok at first but later we had "others" taking over the tables...

Not a biggie, preferred hanging out by the bimmers

9. Hotel arrangement?
Not applicable.

Ditto

10. More counters for registerations.
Was ok when I registered...

Ditto

Jarence, I'm touched by your initiative in starting this feedback thread. Some of the feedback here can be helpful in organising future events. For me, I had fun, period! In an event of this scale, it's impossible to achieve perfection and I'm glad everyone realises this too. I don't think I managed to ketchup with everyone but am pleased with having gotten to know some new faces. Funnily, I didn't speak to 5201 during the Grand TT but remembered seeing him at the event when I bumped into him later in KL. He was still in his bimmer shirt and we spoke for a bit. So, I'm glad the event facilitated this!

white 2002?? I thought it was yellow?

Overall, it was a great event. There were shortcomings but I am glad the committee is taking it constructively.

We could have started earlier and taken a bigger parking space. I was lucky that I managed to squeeze out as I had to leave early. Food wise okay, location okay. We would have more time to drool at cars if we started early as when it's dark, you can't see much.

Two thumbs up to the orgies...

I agree with JPB. The whole idea of this meet in the first place is to meet as many forummers as u can, put the face to the nicks so to speak.

I am happy to finally meet other forummers from JB (nice folks), and Penang Kia (not pai kia at all), as well as other Klang Valley guys.

And as much as i hv heard of JPB, i didnt manage to meet him at the meet. It was a lovely surprise when JPB recognised me later that evening, and said hi to me. We had a short chat, and i will look forward to talking to him in the future meets.

So, to me, this event was a success, as it exceeded its initial goal of getting the forummers to meet and show their rides.

Bravo.

A special thanks to Jarance for orgynising the event & Anthony to come up with the idea. Its members like this that makes the club.
As for the event, i thk it went well. We manage to get new members that day itself. Even though parking is a bit slack but we had more than 40 people that didnt register. Any had a ball.
Sorry if i seem quiet but i was not feeling well that evening. So couldnt minum with some of the members. A big cheers to all the members that came & made this event a success.

One thing really irritated me ... is get chase away fr my seat.

i was seating alone drink my beer, as the SO staffs hv approached me few times with the same Q : "how many friends do u hv ?", i been replied: "about 6, they r watching car, will be back".... different face has come, ask, and go.
the last one said: "when u friends back, we will give u another table". meanswhile how / where am i ? that start my fire, i said: "how many times u wan to chase us away ? just now we r there, now we r here." the fellow go away, another stupid gal come n ask again: "how many friends u hv ?"
s.uck ... idoit ... this time i angry n answer: "dont ask me !!!"
feel boiling .. n pissed, i finished off my beer ... and left the table.

that to me is RUDE per service industry standard.
i know SO Hartamas is crowded, biz is extremely well ... but poor service. :(
ang-ang

cheer lah !!!!!....you just didn't get enough sleep the night b4 coming to this TT........

come to people place n face this situation we just "chin chai" lah.......

Kudos to all comittee members... it was a great great event!!

Its been great joining the club even though it has been quite recent and i don't know how the other memebers feel but this event has made it even a better experience being a club member

The organisation of the event was even made more unbelievable by the car stickers and name tags, table cards, voting slips etc which I found out during the event that these were personally sponsored by members not mentioning the time and effort to organise the event itself.

The place was great even though it can't satisfy everybody's needs. Better than Bkt Jelutong which may have been a disaster as it rained.

Anyways, if it is to publicise the club, i do not mean to be a snob but Souled Out would be a better publicity event than a mamak which may get some people wondering...

Greta job guys!!! I think it was more than a successful event!!

An event of this size, there surely be some minor hicups here and there and that sure is no fault of anybody. Those ppl organising this did so voluntarily and had sacrificed both in terms of time and money (I am sure there are some involved). So whatever little grievences that some of us may have should be more than compensated with the fun we enjoyed.

C-sq, we are looking at a bigger picture for other similar events. If there are no shortcoming, how can we can improved? Detail and small little thing like pencil for member to vote for their car was over looked. Damn, I even forgot to bring pens for the member registration. Have to borrow 2 or 3 pens from SO staff.

Hi all

Very glad that I attended. Congrats to committee members and evryone who helped organise the event for a great job well done! Great gesture by comm members and others to visit individual tables to get to know amap (as many as possible lar...).

1. Lack of car park space.
Don't think this was a big problem.

2. Time too short allocated for viewing the car and mingling.
We can improve here - perhaps many didn't vote because of this?

3. Lack of information about cars on display.
To be fair, this is hard to compile beforehand because of the 'open' attendance of the Grand TT.

4. No aircon room.
No problem.

5. Cannot test car or do donuts.
Related to (2) and also (1) above. Someone suggested that the paid but larger (and very hot!) carpark higher up the slope could have been used with members paying a small sum each of course.

6. More event needed to keep the event exciting.
Good, informal introiductory speeches. Could have been followed up a get-to-know-each-other-better session e.g. looking at cars, or as someone here suggests, getting members to intoduce themselves in person using the mike.

Food was great and registration was conducted well, I think. Just my 2 cents.

Look forward to future meetings, dinner and the like. Cheers and thanks for a great bimmer outing!

Faiz
Hei Faiz,

Nice to have meet u too, item on the "Lack of car space" of course u got no problem ah we were there early and got the nice parking space

But anyway this is only a begining to bigger things ahead for BMW club Malaysia....so can only learn from mistakes and improve on it.

Cheers

BMMad

Yes, I forgot. We were there at about 4pm! Ok, just some ideas for the future gatherings. Was indeed great to be out there meeting people who share your passion. Cheers. Faiz

thanks, bro.
yes, my flame was immediately off after i step out to join in seeing those wonderful UDMs ... n accidentally lean on F.B.I alpina white E30, hahaha :D
it is a GREAT nite.

All in all, i can say the event went smoothly without much hiccups.
It was supposed to be a TT, so lets not expect too much here :)

I think everyone did a great job, from the organisers and the supportive members, all contributed to the success of the event.

Btw, i think everyone came on time (defeating malaysian mentality here)...all bcos they were worried of not getting a secure parking space....kekekk :D
Not surprising huh!! :D

Cheers :)

Uncle ang ang...
All the penang kias drive nice sweet monsters lar...... were u guys speeding on the way back too? :D

Hahaha....yup when I arrived at 3:55pm, kahar and JPB was already there. Shortly, FBI and Fabian arrived as well. And less than 10 minutes later, the first group of cars already arrived!! Dang! :D

I was a little worried at that time as the restaurant only opens at 5pm. But it turned out to be good, imagine if everyone arrived at 5pm and trying to park their cars...!

psssst pssst Mctnesh, now we have singaporean mentality..kiasu ma!!
