Dimples, this meeting is for Annual Dinner.

Any other matters have to be resolved at other meets, or after the main discussions.

We are not in Taiwan la... nor MCA.... errr... errr.... but... but..... ayam... whatever..... no fights la.....
 
IMHO,

We can never beat the GTI Club because they have strong support from Proton. Don't forget that important factor. If we can bring in BMW Malaysia, we might have a chance, if not let's not set our expectations to be BETTER than the GTI Club. I don't think that's the main reason why we are doing this right?

affan, agree with you totally. We can never beat the GT1 club. Well, not at this moment. Let learn on how to walk before we learn how to fly..
 
Hi ladies and gentlemen, I would like to give a suggestion. I hope that everyone will agree to this. The BMW Club is a very reputable club so our annual dinner should be held in a classy place like maybe in the hotel or some place like Souled Out. My idea is why dont the comittee find out the total expenses for the Annual Dinner and collect the money from the Club Members first. Have you guys been to any Company annual dinners? Anyway the event will be held somewhere on December and it will be Bonus time mah!! Hee hee hee. I guess like this the Annual Dinner will be more organized and systematically done. I am saying this because the word BMW means a classy car for most of the society. So I dont really think that we should have it in a Mamak or normal Restaurant. Imagine if one person can fork out RM100, if 100 ppl attend we already have RM10,000 bucks. We can have a very very grand dinner! Sorry if I said anything wrong. What do you guys think?

If our Grand TT can held at Sould Out,i don't think our annual dinner will downgrade to mamak......Don't worry fren,sure the committe will look for a good venue. :D

well, since Prez n vice Prez both busy with works, i m be happy to help out here to pass along the news to other northen kia.

to attend the committee meeting, i dun think i am able to make it, but you guys decide what is best for grand diner, and keep us update.

i must say 1st, DATE, TIME and VENUE is a key factor for us (northen member). i think this goes to everyone else. After this has been dicided, i will proceed to inform the northen kia.

i can say, our penang kia members very "chin chai n flexible" one lah. :D :D

I volunteer to spearhead the sub-committee to look for suitable places. How? Of course a lot would also depends on how much we are willing to fork out. Be prepared to pay if we want something cosy and nice. ;) :yes:

I would start a poll on where members want it to be! It will solely be a members' decision. Before I do that, I would like to include suggestions from you guys so I could include that in the poll.

penang kia might be too far to join org committe, but sure will join the actual Grand Annual Dinner .... got makan, sure come wan .. :D
 
Sirs, I think the key factor before deciding on a venue is "budget" i.e. how much are members willing to spend on this per head and how many people are we expecting. Beware, the former is highly subjective! My guess is RM50 per head and at least 60 people in attendance which outturns a total of RM3,000. Getting a more lavish setting ain't going to work if it exceeds the budget. On this basis, Mr. Bundy can then scout for suitable places and list a few options to members for them to CHOOSE, this is crucial so no-one kena sabo for exercising unilateral choice. Just my advice.

Besides the budget, I think attire is also very important in determining the venue. Perhaps some may just wanna come in their best suit or evening dresses. Who knows? Then it'll reflect upon the brand image of BMW. Class, elegance, pricey! Hahahah.....I say we're looking at a min of RM80-RM100 per head. We need at least 100 pax so that we can block off a little ballroom in a nice hotel.

My 2 cents.
 
Well, I supposed smart casual will be sufficient. Probably we will invite BMW Malaysia and other "potential" sponsors for the dinner. So we probably have to work hard and put up a good show!

I personally think HRC is a great place. Everyone knows where it is and there is "free entertainment" after dinner. The place is not that huge but I think more than sufficient to cater for all the members and food is good too.

Well, fellow comrades please give your input and suggestion on this. I would use it and start a poll.

May I suggest Sheraton Subang. It is classy enough for a BMW gathering and right outside the ballroom is a big out door car park for all the UDMs. Other suggestion is Hyatt Saujana for the same reasons.
