roadstone or rockstone? mine is rockstone. LoL.
those are the wheels when i first got the car. previous owner had changed the original m sport 17" to the current one. no idea whether the wheels are original. only got a "germany" word stamped on the inside. if it is original for e60, then i think the centre hole need to rebore to fit into e39. i found no centre cone installed when they were out to change tires recently.


Maybe the wheels have been re-bored to fit e39. Anyway, if it does fit nicely u wont need centre cones..

Roadstones are my rear tyres now..just double-checked the spelling..lol...

i think so it has been rebore. but i still feel uncomfortable because at certain speed the steering wheel starts to vibrate. still looking what mainly causes it.

i am also has started eyeing several wheels on sale here in forum. but due to budget constraint and other parts priority i have to suspend my intention.

The interface you bought is a generic OBDII reader, it will be able to read information required for a vehicle to comply to OBDII standard.

What it's not able to do is read BMW specific code and clear them. Get a dedicated BMW interface for best debugging. Cheers.

i think so as well. however i cannot further discuss the ability of the dedicated bmw obd tool since i don't own it and never use it before. i am thinking to get one that the forumers got in group buy before, so better comparison can be made between the two.

my wild assumption is OBD scanners are all same, only the softwares that decode the signals sent that make the difference. don't throw stone at me. i am just a noob who likes to try things and learn. sometimes we learn things in a hard way so we appreciate them better. i am no programmer nor nobody related to the field. just a mere car enthusiast. hehe.

As for example in the ELM327 interface only pin 7 is used to communicate. In BMW-specific interfaces pin 7 and 8 are used. Only connecting pin 7, you will only be able to read engine related messages not other modules like ABS, IKE etc.

but i realize one thing. the ek able to do that only for a short distance. after several kilometres he slowed down and disappeared.

True encountered that a couple of times on NSH...especially on the turbocharged wiras and putras....

They can run out wild in front of you above 200 but the question is not about who gets there first....it's about staying there.
