So, another name for you all to consider, Ms Jacelyn from Quill.

We got the same SA but in Quill, Jacelyn is the Fleet Sales Manager. Never had a problem with her at all. Actually Roland from Quill refered me to Jacelyn.

I think with human beings (even if we complaint to all the bosses in the world).....nothing will ever be perfect....but we can always strive to be better. In as much as we demand from others, we should also deliver the same to the people who expect from us.....I think the take-home message is: When I go back to my work place, and I meet my customers:-I must treat them better and I know now-I mustn't do this/that to them like I experienced myself at this/that dealership.

I got my 320d from AB premium selection glenmarie and was served by Jerry. He was patient, attentive and responsive to my petaling street-style negotiations n I believe I had one of the better deals around.

But very frankly, comparing purely service levels alone, my opinion is that the SAs at quill do a much better job in follow up, professionalism and product knowledge than their AB counterparts

yes, truly agree with docrayboy.. even after months of buying my 320d, this Alex Tang from Quill Auto PJ guy has been giving good and mindful advices to me :4:

i did remember telling him 'I buy the car because of YOU, i am NOT going to receive the car key if it is not YOU giving it to me` :4:

.Guess all depends on which SA you are dealing with..The same reason why i go to AB Glenmarie instead of Pg..

Who is this SA by the way? maybe will be more careful with this guy next time if u can pm me..cheers

AB Penang? My very first experience was when I called up to look for the BMW credit officer. Got a very rude response & the next call I made was straight to her branch manager! Some people just need to learn the hard way.

Like docrayboy says guys, we seek and expect perfection in almost everything that we do and want but the fact remain that nobody is perfect. Everyday is a learning experience and basically at times its just the luck of the draw. One might be lucky to get an above par exellence SA and on the other hand, one might get the worst of the lot :(

We thank this thread starter for highlighting and sharing his "awful" experience but positively we should all learn from it and move along. Hopefully for the sake of our passion towards our ride, both sides, will benefit from this :top: .....

Looks like i will give credit when its due.

As i look like somebody in his early 20s, even though i have started my journey into my 30s, bad service from car dealers is a fact of life ( or any business establishment selling things that no 21 year old kid can afford ). Heck, at one time even the SAs from Honda/Toyota/Nissan refused to layan me. Thats why i never owned any of those cars before.

However my experience with Quill in sec 14 was rather different. The SA, Hendrix Hoong has been very helpful and polite all the way, from first walk in wearing flip flops, to applying my car loan, to trading in my car, to paying deposit and downpayment. As a first time UDM buyer, and first time buying a car >300k, i asked tons of silly questions and was rather insecure about the whole idea of buying a BMW but all questions was dealt with properly and professionally. No sly remarks like those i received from AB, or other car dealers. As i was about to be sent offshore soon at that time, the SA went out of his way to expedite the loan application process and worked out lots of technicalities to enable me to deal with the paperwork even when i was not in the country.

Unfortunately, i had to cancel my order at the last minute due to reasons too long to discuss here but even that, he was very professional and courteous when returning my deposit and car trade in money.

Impressive would be an understatement here. That SA is highly recommended.

Guess this gonna be a long thread.everyone can chip in their fair share of stories!
Be it pleasant or the other way around.

My side of story..

One fine day after made up my mind to buy a bmw, called up the local AB which is Pg and ask the salesperson about any promotions or discount for premium sel E90s since it was almost sept.. the reply was NO straight away..then a friend of mine gave me this salesguys no from AB Glenmarie..spoke to him over the phone, impressed then drove the next day to shah alam with my check.. saw the car, nego till drop and got myself a huge discount for a 2 months old,400kms car.. Then after few days had to go abroad again..when i came back everything is done including getting the new penang plate, transfer of insurance and other paper jobs..he even said he can deliver the car to my home on his expenses but i took a flight and drive myself home smiling..

he made buying a premium car so easy like a,b,c..

Highly recommended, reliable and man on his words...the young chaps name is Jaya

Anyway im giving my credits to the service advisors team at Pg AB..they have been really helpful to me all the time especially Yunus and Brian..

Well, guess most of you are lucky lots.

Yes it would sound like we are the fortunate ones but there's always two sides to the coin.
It is just that many focuses on the positive ones.
In my case, I have given a hint of some of the bad ones that I have experienced.

It is the luck of the draw, which shouldn't be the case.

I recall, in 1975, when as a young punk, I walked into a DeTomaso and a Ferrari dealerships in London and in both cases, I was greeted very well by the sales persons, treated to tea and cakes, and a pleasant conversation and tour of the cars, but strictly no test drive since I was below 21.

But when I walked in a BMW dealership, they couldn't even give me the time of day. But that did not stop me from buying BMWs.

So it happens everywhere, in every country.

Times were different, in 1975? A more genteel, more civilised world back then? Now, there are a lot of rich people (new rich), but not many classy ones.

But the real question is, takwee, will you still be going back to them, or is this a case of too little too late, sorry no cure, hasta la vista baby?

Wobbles, in this case, it's actually a little too late.......

lol, remind me of a Dunhill tagline....gaya, mutu, keunggulan.

By the way, there is also the mistake of renewing my roadtax for 6 months only though i paid full. Now waiting for refund since i am not free to drop by.
