wow bro u managed 450km with 02 senson faulty? thats very2 good .. just wondering how much will u get(mileage) after replacing those sensors..

From what I read and check on e36 328 should be able to achieve 500 - 550km full tank. if running tip top
This means correct tyre pressure and size

my 328 doing 515KM after major overhaul the engine.before that around 430-450KM with same type of driving....

I'll publish mine after finish experiment.... now still taking data in various driving style and conditions... need to check the data repeatability first..

FC update.

before is 7.9 km/l

1st condition after change MAF + gearbox overhaul FC is 8.9 km/l, improvement 13% max speed 120kmh

2nd condition after change MAF + gearbox ovehaul + new exhaust O2 + STP injector cleaner FC is 9.6 km/l, improvement 22% max speed 120kmh

if 2nd condition with granny driving style my FC is 11 km/l, improvement of 38.8% but this driving mode make me sleepy.... very slow acceleration, average max speed 110 to 120kmh

Wah very good FC. average of 19 to 20 cents per km on Ron 97. Who say BMW is expensive?? Heavy car, 2.5cc, 6 cyclinder engine. ultimate driving machine. Even new Jap car cant provide the feeling

woww.. i never ever got the 500 mark , just wondering bro.. i'm on 18inch , CDA open pod filter & custom exhaust.. so the FC is probably due to this right?
by max is about 480kmh @ 120-140 highways..

High Speed Test to troubleshot noise like helicopter / Chopper sound... (geduk... geduk.. geduk) at speed above 145km/h.... it's loud until I can't hear the radio... but car body doesn't shaking... still steadily cruising the highway...


During Inspection at workshop... we put my car on hoist... at 140km/h car still steady... then I spin my car to 160km/h... whole car body shaking... undercarriage inspection by him... he said... T metal coupling like somebody have "usik" and liittle bit loose.. and another coupling near rear axle "pasang terbalik"

Then the foreman, request me to drive up at highway to 160km/h ( car body no shaking) then shift the gear to N..... and I can still hear the helicopter sound until the speedometer down to 140km/h.... then sound disappear and I can listen to radio again...


I give him a call, and according to him confirm my long shaft have a problem...

What you guys say?

Earlier another foreman said it's due to the rear axle / differential going to kong, not because of long shaft, I have change

1. Both rear wheel bearing
2. Long shaft rubber coupling near gearbox
3. Long shaft holding bearing
4. Service and add grease for both drive shaft.
5. New rubber boots drive shaft
6. New rear all bushing
7. new wheel
8. new tyre
9. new rear disc
10. new rear brake pads

Just bought my car E36 325i (A) 94 yesterday at Ipoh used car dealer (nice guy) … now at Sri Manjung Perak at In Law house. Great experience driving from Ipoh to Manjung. Never had before! Syukur dapat rasa drive UDM.

This morning start my car…. Hemmmmppp strong petrol smell… i trace to engine bay... then I found the petrol leak at plastic Y- connector hose to aluminium head… that area wet wit petrol… the plastic conector seam look like loose from the aluminium head cover….. emmm what to do… :stupid:

change the hose.

Bro, dont give up yet..
Have you try to replace the coupling ?. I got same issue like you previously, replace the coupling for 3 times & 1 time replace the long shaft, but my car only 318i .

bmw liyana auto service at seremban 2 said it normal for them to send the long shaft to specialist machine shop and can gurantee it works.... quoted cost below rm900

2. used aircond fan housing rm80
3. trouble shoot aircond fan motor wiring + upah pasang item 1 and 2 rm150
4. service aircond at denso aircond specialist using denso red box machine + rewiring intermittent compressor connector rm200
