My E36 Experience

wowww bro anxious ...my next anniversary is gonna be the 13th year owning my machine ....lotsa tears and sweat on it ..but hope to the see the 13th anniversary next year and rewards my baby for another treat into the darkside ...if my kitty bank permits ....

U hold the longest ownership record for E36. I mite get back E36 or E39 if both my cars sold.

yeh imagine the days when there is not much info about how to maintain a UDM ....but luckily there was BMW.CLUB.MALAYSIA.com.my which was on the early stages in growing ...circa around 2002~3

if ya plunging back to E36 or E39 ...get the ultimate one ..///M or closer to it ....

Yeah still remember those days when I browsing the forum for at least 6 mths before buying my 1st UDM. Lots of hardship went thru. I'm making the biggest mistake as there is no turning back. Its a priceless sextifaction. Too bad need to let go the experience due to unexpected circumtances. To iceman & anxious, my hats off to you for keeping the E36 to its glory.

This is my 5th year owning my little humble E36 M43 Throughout the years, got happy moments, got frustrating moments... Good ol' E36!

My E36 is in the workshop. The gearbox light came on today and the gearbox wasnt working well in D mode. Had to engage 1,2,3 and 4 manually by shifting the gear levers.

Most likely a gearbox overhaul job......ouch!

Change to 5 speed autobox bro or better the manual hehe

UDM vs AB ?

may i ask. If the transmission light came on, is it means the time overhaul the gb? In my case, last 4 months, the light came on, and my mech solved it by reset the fault code. Second time, happened last week in Batu pahat, since no workshop have the comp. Socket, i just ask them to change the transmission oil, also the light gone, but i can feel the car vibrate more. Sifus, please advice.

Hello to all E36 ers!

To be honest. I love and hate my E36. So confused. Hahaha. Why? Rojak too much in the pursuit of power. End up it feels weird.

Lesson learned: Keep your E36's stock, well oiled and maintained, and it will definitely probably be awesome! (Jeffrey will agree)

we are on the same boat bro.. also 5th year of ownership e36 m43 1996 but so far no regret at all. The driving experience is priceless! makin lama makin sayanggggg...

Yesterday = Shah Alam to Kuala Berang (Terengganu)
Today = Kuala Berang back to Shah Alam
Total Distance = 900km
Car = E36 325i
Result = I love my car so much! Handling at Karak Highway is excellent! Climbing the hill was effortless.High speed cruising from Bentong to Kuantan without any drama.I am a very satisfied owner!
