Might getting the e39 soon!

Hi all the sifus,Might need to get some advise from u guys for me to get a e39. I've pay some visits to view the cars and may I know what's the market price for 523 & 525? I've seen a few with diff prices. I prefer year 2000 and above. Should I get a 523 or 525? My friend told me to get 523 as for 525 is single vanos.Thanks a million for those can give me some advise!!!DeKev

523i is single vanos m52, 525i is double vanos m52tu or m54.

Year 02 is what date? Mfg date or reg date? Recond, CKD or CBU unit? Give us more detail bro.

523i is single vanos m52, 525i is double vanos m52tu or m54.

some 523i's M52TU are double vanos as well.

Year 02 is what date? Mfg date or reg date? Recond, CKD or CBU unit? Give us more detail bro.

It is mfg yr 02 and CBU from UK coz mileage is with miles

There are two engines for the 523i (all prefacelift). Early ones (1996-1998) are single vanos M52 and later ones (1998-2000) are double vanos M52TU. Year 2000 came the facelift E39 which is the 525i with the double vanos M54. All above units are 2500cc engines.

Check the VIN bro, registration card can be deceitful. Might be 1999 or early 2000 car cause thats the last of the 523i's.
