yes, it is for overtaking, agree. However, you still have to stick to legal speed limit of 110km/h or whatever it is, only than you can overtake legally. Road rules my friend.

hahahahaha sorry to say, but this is just pathetic. Mange your time well. And no, you have no right to speed and drive like a madman because of some emergency of yours, that is why we have Police, Bomba and Ambulance at your disposal, they can do that. Not you.

Its very simple, follow speed limits and road rules. It seems that some have forgotten road rules already, time to revise. Pls show me where it said that "driver is allowed to drive above speed limit should an emergency arise" hahahahahahah

P.S.

Just speechless.

I REST MY CASE...

This here my friends,is a typical mindset of a road hogger.'Nuff said.

Ahh,this is too easy:wink:

Speed lane hoggers, those who turn on emergency signals during rain (while car moves) and those using the mobile phones while on the plane during take off or landing are same bunch of MORONS!

Well said.

Never thought I'd see one here in the forum..but there ya go,plain for all to see.

Don't forget, there are more than one category of people who hogs the fast lane. One u just mentioned.

There are also those who are just oblivious. There are also those who just couldn't care less..I've seen this type many many times. They dont care if there's a long line of cars behind them, they just wan't to stay on the fast lane for some reason.Infuriating! Come rain or shine..they keep to the fast lane no matter what u do.

U potong on the left,u salah.. u stay behind the idiot,u'll be late. What do u do?

maybe JPJ or somebody have to revise the law, whoever been overtook from left in certain condition should be salah..hehehehe

wah, from a VW bashing - this thread seems to be have gone to bash other things and persons.

My take on this.

Right lane is for the FASTER CAR which is overtaking and they must ALWAYS USE RIGHT LANE to overtake. I think this is taught in driving school as well as posted on some higway signboards.

Overtaking on LEFT or Emergency Lane ( which is also on your left ) is illegal, punishable by Law. I am shocked some is asking for a rule revision!

In my 1st para, please see I used "FASTER" and I did not say what is the speed so in short - while u can stay legally on the middle lane too at 110kph and allow others who wants to risk their license to go >110kph ( assuming limit is 110kph ) overtake you on the right.

If you are on the rightmost lane and someone faster is approaching - finish your overtaking and move back in, safely and in due time, asap. He could misjudge his braking and swipe ur rear end.....

It is also not our duty to police others and especially not by blocking others to speed beyond the limit - no matter what their reasons could be. It could be a home emergency, a love one in need of medical help or a late appointment or even a need to answer nature's call - who are we to judge?

In short - let him pass and the road will be safer for another day of travel for all of us.

Anyways, this is endless and fruitless discussion, my three year old son makes better sense. Just to sum things up: don't worry, i will let you through as soon as i am done overtaking (at a legal speed limit of 110/90/80) and there is reasonably wide opening in a middle lane, i have nothing to prove or have any intention to upset other road users.

Should you choose to be inpatient, flash, tailgate and etc than you can eat my pintle hook. I'll put you out of your misery before you know it. Respect other road users, and they will respect you. This is no joke.

Speeding drivers cause just as much nuisance as slow drivers. Stick to speed limits! If you disagree, well, good for you. Try and drive the way you do somewhere in Australia/US/UK and see what happens.

Over and out.

rules & regulations aside... whether we kena speed trap or not... I think it's still up to us whether to drive 80,90, 110 or even above the legal speed limit (>110km/h according to you).
Now that you are giving your own point of view. Obviously you haven't encountered any drivers from hell. Not everyone is as considerate as you bro. We are talking about those drivers in general. I don't know why are you so upset at the first place!
If I want to drive within speed limit... I will get myself a Viva or Myvi thank-you-very-much! I guess most of us Beemers here bought the JOY because of its driving performance... and we simple lurve spirited driving. One more thing is that... we are 1Malaysia :D so don't take any other countries to compare to us ok? We love who and where we are right now :thefinger:

P.S: Are you even a BMW driver?

but I must say, not all is bad. I used to take the MEX highway to work, but now use ELITE/NKVE. on average, its very seldom I come across a road hogger. almost everyone will move to middle lane when someone comes from behind. Maybe before 9am, ppl are still asleep, so rage hasn't built yet??

bhai, the way you drive i will certainly move aside and let you thru' ( tak mau kene ram-sing from behind )......kekekeke.....

Most drivers from Hell hit the road after 11pm at nite.......

Hey Joshua bro, you got chased whilst driving the F01/2? Oh gosh. Maybe they saw 740i, so thought want to 'play', either to provoke you to step on the gas and give them a run for their money...

No, not the F02. It's a BMW, it's reasonably anonymous on the road these days, seeing as how there are so many contis out there :p The other car, which will remain unmentioned, is a bit more of a tailgater magnet. Just like how some of you say that:

It quite normal for vios, myvi, city, waja, etc ( those category of car, if you know what i meant ) to try to prove that there are as fast as a bimmer, esp those who mod their car with big body kits.

Just playing around :p

simple. 3 lanes. left lane is for trucks. middle lane is for slow people and for trucks to overtake one another. So, we are left with far right lane, so called fast lane. Question is, how fast is the lane? Normally, no more than 110km/h.

WRONG. This is not simple, this is MALAYSIA!
There are seven (7) lanes. Starting from left, there is the emergency lane, the left lane, the left in-between lane, the middle lane, the right in-between lane, the right lane AND the opposite lane. All perfectly valid lanes for use whenever and however, apparently.

One thing I realized is people behave differently on the highways and on normal public roads. On highways most will almost automatically move out of the way, but that's not the same when on normal public roads. It's really weird.

Exactly! Although I must add, that compared to NSE, the vehicles that traverse the KL - Seremban route tend to fall outside of that courteous drivers category. Highway driving does seem to bring out the 'safer' and more polite side in us, ironically.

Hmm, M5/M3 ah? Hahaha. Anyways, I must admit got once I try to cucuk a 740i F02 after the Damansara toll. :D Hope it wasn't yours Joshua! Of course just for kicks, since that was one of the very first F02s I've seen here, so I was mesmerised by the rear lights. :D Then again, not really considered cucuk also cos I didn't tailgate him, and the driver was gracious enough to let a fellow 7 thru.
