Haha. True also. I admit not build quality [like the plastic bumpers], but the way the car feels quite planted at speeds. Always seeing them zigzagging in and out of traffic like nobody's business.

Let them be their cars & life are cheap:smokin:
My 528 been overtaken once by iswara on highway while doing 170kmh.
Well nothing effect my ego as I was cruising while eating snacks.:smokin:

If you're on the fast lane on a highway and there's someone behind you...Road Ethics = Give Way...regardless of what car ur driving.

Ikut Kiri Kecuali Memotong.

simple. 3 lanes. left lane is for trucks. middle lane is for slow people and for trucks to overtake one another. So, we are left with far right lane, so called fast lane. Question is, how fast is the lane? Normally, no more than 110km/h.

But, traveling in a fast lane, one must follow speed limit. Go faster, up to you, but don't get upset if someone doesn't let you through, speed limit is 110, remember that. Those who like to "fly", sorry fellows, but i won't be one of your best friends on the highway.

By breaking speed limit, you inconvenience other road users and put them in danger.

If you don't like getting stuck behind stubborn driver, how would you like to constantly go right than left, right than left.... endlessly for as long as you are on the highway, all because someone is in a rush?

Do i make any sense?

its not a vw bashing thread, just i have problem with vw/audi wannabes nowadays, especially those who chipped and brag about how fast their 2.0 or 1.8 turbo can go with their 360hp upgrade.

i always enjoy ice on the road, since there is so much car, and no point zagging or so on as well. just that people always poke me , as in (cucuk me ......) ...... ...... .....

Pretty much agreed. I don't condone speeding myself, but at times I couldn't help but overshot the speed limit by probably 10-30km/hr, but at no points did I endanger myself and other motorists by tailgating or flashing high beams like a mad man. If the car in front still doesn't wanna budge, I'd often overtake from the left, although it's rude, but I'm sorry, I've seen much worse drivers.

Occasionally I might get carried away, especially when someone rudely cuts me off, but again, I've tried to calm myself down by taking a deep breath and just letting things be. Ultimately that person who keeps zigging in and out will end up more often than not, back at square one; looking at my beautiful rear. :D

I do agree with you that overtaking on the left is dangerous, and depending on traffic, if I do find myself behind a slower car on the fast lane, 99% I'd slowly adapt my speed to follow him from a safe distance; an hope he'd move to the left once traffic clears a bit.

Gosh, the stuff people do when coming across an M5. If I were to come across one, I'd gladly give way and merrily enjoy the sight of a fellow Bimmer owner.

Now, if only I would be blessed with seeing an E34 530i again. :D

I don't agree... sorry.

Doing 110/90/80kph or whatever the speed limit is doesn't give u the right to hog the fast lane. The right most lane is for overtaking, period. There are times when people need to get somewhere quick,be it a medical emergency or an appointment with someone important.
Hogging the fast lane simply because u don't like changing lanes? Please do change ur attitude, cuz u never know whose progress u are hindering..a father bringing his injured child to the hospital perhaps.Think about it..

Agreed.

Can't stress this enough.I just don't get people who refuses to let other people pass.. pure ignorance I guess.

Well there was a case last year, during Chinese New Year I was following behind an M5(You know that M5 plate :D) and a Proton Wira on NKVE highway heading north... The M5 was doing around 160KMh and I was travelling real close behind them. Up until like nearly a KM, the Wira refused to let the BMW and me pass instead, he drove on the lines(that garis putus-putus :p) and the M5 kept flashing his light but the Wira driver was like buat tak tau :stupid:... Getting fed-up I guess, the M5 driver menyelit the side of the Wira and BANG!! I think there might be a bit scratch on the left doors but that Wira lost its side mirror .

So my advice is, please give way to the fast cars. I mean, is it really hard? Just give your signal to left, look on the side mirror, clear then turn = less trouble :smokin:...

the right lane is a lane for overtaking only. You are suppose to be travelling in the middle lane and when you encounter a car in front of you, utilise the right lane to overtake, then back to the middle lane.

I second that!

Unfortunately many drivers are selfish.

Right lane is for overtaking - not hogging within the speed limit.
And am sorry too if i overake them from the left .

Encountered a SG plate Stream once - hogging the right lane for miles ....The left lane was clear, btw.

No honk or flashing of lights will make him move to the left.
He jammed the emergency brake - probably sign of protest.
A JB plate Perdana overtooked him - came out from the the car with - a baseball bat. !

And they did the royal rumble in the middle of the highway, like the two guys in Puchong recently? Please continue the story.

Salut

talked about sg plated cars.

i just whacked a f430 sg plated 2 days back.

i remember his face when i pass him.

he'll pobably go back and mod his ferrari now.

and yes i overtake on the left, he din't want to give way, but this is guthrie highway, no cars :p

Speed lane hoggers, those who turn on emergency signals during rain (while car moves) and those using the mobile phones while on the plane during take off or landing are same bunch of MORONS!

yes, it is for overtaking, agree. However, you still have to stick to legal speed limit of 110km/h or whatever it is, only than you can overtake legally. Road rules my friend.

hahahahaha sorry to say, but this is just pathetic. Mange your time well. And no, you have no right to speed and drive like a madman because of some emergency of yours, that is why we have Police, Bomba and Ambulance at your disposal, they can do that. Not you.

Its very simple, follow speed limits and road rules. It seems that some have forgotten road rules already, time to revise. Pls show me where it said that "driver is allowed to drive above speed limit should an emergency arise" hahahahahahah

P.S.

Just speechless.

Anyways, this is endless and fruitless discussion, my three year old son makes better sense. Just to sum things up: don't worry, i will let you through as soon as i am done overtaking (at a legal speed limit of 110/90/80) and there is reasonably wide opening in a middle lane, i have nothing to prove or have any intention to upset other road users.

Should you choose to be inpatient, flash, tailgate and etc than you can eat my pintle hook. I'll put you out of your misery before you know it. Respect other road users, and they will respect you. This is no joke.

Speeding drivers cause just as much nuisance as slow drivers. Stick to speed limits! If you disagree, well, good for you. Try and drive the way you do somewhere in Australia/US/UK and see what happens.

Over and out.
