Hi bros and sis,Need some advice here before I proceed to LCCT to see the officer.Bought some bodykits from ebay, goods sent from HK and is now "hold" by the kastam. Called and was told to go to the kastam office, bilik 2 to see the officer, advise to bring along the invoice too.Any kind soul can help me out here, what to expect and what to prepare.TQ in advance

what to expect and what to prepare?

lots of time and patience
bring the invoice along

expect to pay tax if the total amount > rm500.
The invoice u bring will be compared with the invoice that come together with the box.
And they might ask for paypal receipt as well.

haha, then I am in big trouble.
The package is put as gift and therefore is not suppose to have a receipt.
How to show invoice like that.

^ Most likely they will google for the parts value and tax it accordingly

What would the percentage tax payable I should be expecting. Many thanks for the reply

^^ Depends on the tariff being used. This could differ from one officer to another. The last time I got a set of Racing Cluth + Pressure plate, was taxed ~circa 23%

Normally car parts are taxed at 30% + 10% of the CIF value (Cost + Insurance + Freight)

Meaning if item is RM1000, tax is

1000 x 30% = 300

(1000+300) x 10% = 130

Total tax 300 + 130 = RM430

It must be my lucky day! Escape with no tax.... Many thanks for all the reply bros

Ya man, the officer today is a good man lol. But 1 more to clear, expecting arrival in a week or 2. Have decided to declare the real value and pay the tax accordingly this time. The feeling of cheating and waiting for the officer to check while trying to anticipate his response was not easy.

even one pieces of car parts charged tax too? I thought beyond certain quantity is compulsory, but one?

Are the parts you brought in Used or New? I was informed, if the parts are used or declared "used" then there is no tax. On the other hand if it is New then it will be taxed. Correct me if I am wrong.

Guys, please beware Kastam is going all out to recover revenue for the garment. Spent too much during the ge.
