Just fill up the patrol today. RM75 for 461KM =RM0.163/KM=8.73KM/Lit for mixed drive. I don't know either the FC is OK for an E34 year 90,520,12V. Maybe all members can post your FC here for a comparison. Merry X'mas n Happy New Year.

I get 300Km for RM 50, more or less... So its RM0.166 per K.M for an 520i 24V

Compared to your mine is horrendous, average 5.88km/l, best 7.14km/l. 520,24V. Really should put in that device.

I'm doing about 13L/100kms.How about using the standard format of xx L/100kms? This is the EU standard for fuel consumption.

Since getting my babe about 2 months back, been averaging about 10.10L/100kms. And that is with mix highway and city driving. Best part is, my babe's FC is better than my jalopy (Wira 1.6XLi)!

With mostly long distance driving Damansara->Cyberjaya->Damansara, based on the OBC, I get about 12.xL/100km..Higher than my old proton, what the heck, I'm loving the ride..

12L-14L/100kms for me, depending on traffic and if I 'accidentally' hit the S switch or not... Worst ever was about 15L+/100kms (welcome to the world of Sports mode and kick-downs!)

pumped full tank (almost RM 90) at Sg Besi and drove to JB. Then drove back and the warning lights came on at Seremban with 610 km done. Pumped full tank again at Seremban for RM 75 - 12 sen per km for highway driving.

I drive a 330Ci. I don't even dare look at my mileage. But so far it has been bearable. Cruising is best if fuel consumption is of importance.

I'm pretty orite with my fuel consumption with my kind of driving... But I do keep track so that I'll know when the fuel consumption increase drasticly, I'll clean the air filter and maybe tyre pressurethese were my FC for the past few top ups (in liter/100km) 10.82 11.16 10.22 10.37 11.07 10.51 11.11

My M20 B25 Auto FC is somewhere around (in liter/100km)

10.5 to 10.8

but previously it was around 11 when my lamda does not function properly.

For me purely city driving:

E46 325i : 12.5L/100km

Jazz Vtec: 8.1L/100km


My FC has gotten worse in the last month (using Shell petrol), whereby I was consistently getting 12.3L/100km as measured by the OBC. The Jazz was doing 7.9L/100km as measured by the OBC as well. Both cars are a little more sluggish in recent weeks, and I suspect some changes in the Shell petrol composition in recent weeks (perhaps due to higher crude oil prices??)

Anyone else notice this with Shell petrol?

fabian, you keep a log of your FC? That's dedication man!. I average 400-420 km per full tank, all city driving. Mostly the PJ-KL work commute.

My E34 M50 2.0 needs RM95 for a full tank and will go for 520KM until empty. Mostly city mixed driving.

I'll just write down the distance travelled on the receipt everytime I do a top up and then reset the tripmeter.... it's been a habit....

and I do keep track of my daily spending as well... Every sen accounted for... hahahha

Lower, if I avoid the 'S' button, but I find it impossible!

Was complaining abt the high consumption, until i found out the price of petrol in Germany...

Mine is 328i (A).

On the average since I got my car... 10.71L/100km, which should get me about 550km per full tank... and that is with using "S" mode half the time.

pump the patrol today, RM75 for 486km = RM0.154/km=9.2km/Lit for mixed drive. Seem got improvement for the FC cos i did something to the air filter. Will keep update u guys.
