Greetings all,I have a 2006 jap spec e60 525.I've been reading about the changes necessary to sort out the radio issue.I would love to get a ccc change so i can enjoy more of the cars features but the problem is that I am in Jamaica. The only BMW dealer here is an asshole and they dont touch individual imports. can the upgrade be done online?can a part be sent to have the upgrade done and then re-installed in the car?anyone have any other solutions?i would like the tv feature on my i-drive screen and the ability to play dvds while moving. How can i use an ipod and get the quality of cds? what would be the best interface or connection to use?I know this is a lot of questions but any help will be appreciated.respect and manners.showa

You need to find an independent BMW specialist to do all those things.

Official BMW dealers and service centers won't touch your car except maybe for basic maintenance/service. This applies worldwide.

The ability of independent bmw people here as well as even the dealer is questionable.
i have learnt more about my car from forums than prolly most of the so called experts here. i want to know if :can the upgrade be done online?
can a part be sent to have the upgrade done and then re-installed in the car?
anyone have any other solutions?
i would like the tv feature on my i-drive screen and the ability to play dvds while moving.

so i can tell the independent people here that it can or cant be done and try and get the information on how to do it.
thanks

By online, you mean via internet?

Well you can order the parts, that's a common thing nowadays. But you need someone who knows their way in E60. Take your time into sourcing for a good one.

The TV-to-go, Ipod connector interface have manuals to guide your electronics man. The CCC, and I-Drive and DVD requires implants, programming, re-wiring, there's really no generic or user-friendly manual guide for these...they are learnt through experience and trial and error. CCC is where it can get really expensive if they mess it up.

hi,
is the ccc a software or hardware solution?
how can i purchase one?
