My oct 2009 e90 325i msport has 33k kms. Bsri and warranty over. Last service was at 2xk a year ago.
Planning to send for oil service in stuttgart (I-series), they use revenol engine oil from Germany and advice me to change transmission oil too.
Anyone has experience with revenol fully synthetic oil? Should I change transmission oil at 33k?
please advice.

I was at I-series last week for a minor repair. I was checking their Ravenol engine lubricant oil and could not find the LL01 or LL04 (Longlife) markings on the Ravenol container.

Oil filter and 8 liters of ravenol 5w-50, service tax and labour in I-series, total damage was rm600. Expensive?

Expensive. I did my 320i at UAG Auto Shah Alam 4.5L engine oil for RM255. Your's 325i should be around RM400 over there.

Energy, i believe even if your mileage is low, you should service or do an oil change every 6 months rather than 1 year.
For the charges, it should be in the region of 400 to 600 if you get the workshop to do everything for you, depending on the engine oil used.
It could be economical if you could purchase the engine oil and oil filter, then pay for workmanship if the workshop allows.
For transmission oil, there are mixed school of thoughts but for me, a change of transmission oil and filter pan every 60k or 70k km is good.

Dear all,

My E90 325i 2006 has an issue. The car 'fail' to wake up.. means like when i off my car, the radio channel will gone, all the bass, treble will reset.. any idea how to troubleshoot this?

Thank you.

Might be some issues with the battery. Did u install any aftermarket headunit? Read in e90 post that it may be caused by wrong installation.

I was also charged around that figure & to me, it is expensive considering only changing the engine oil & filter...it is due to the Ravenol 5ltr/ bottle & cost will be higher then normal 4ltr/bottle...I still have bout 4ltrs of oil with me & going to be wasted coz I'm not going to use Ravenol anymore.....

Hi guys,
I'm looking for E90 320i 2005 alignment adjustment and camber screws. Went to QuickSave Auto Boutique in USJ today for alignment and balancing. They told me the screws on my car had rusted badly and needed to be replaced. Unfortunately they don't have any stock and even their suppliers don't keep them. They suggested that I go to AB to purchase the screws and they (QS) will install them. Also, they offer an alternative - custom machined screws from local machine shop, which would be cheaper. Anyone had any similar experience? Is it safe to use custom machined screws? Tips and suggestions appreciated. cheers!
