LOL! You're amazing, KL2DC!

Now isn't Anthracite more special than boring Slate Grey? Just like the aircooled totally-mechanical Porsches were the real Porsches only real men could drive?

Sorry David, time to respray your TS. ;) How about putting a Jaguar racing green or red E90 on the road for us to gawk at? :D

I choose silver because I am a lazy fellow who seldom wash car and I find it is so much easy to maintain this color. Moreover, it does look bigger in size compares to other colors :)

But I believe a red e90 will be awesome too.

Jes pulling your leg, David! :) Actually the TiAG shows the lines of the E90 well as KL2DC said, and silver always looks clean even after driving in the rain. Silver is also the prefered colour of 2nd hand dealers, regardless what car.

But if you do respray your car, go red or green! Jaguar colours if possible, or Porsche - those guys have taste. :p

Already my Impreza-mad kakis are saying "E90? You mad ahh? Get an Imprezza la...it will beat your E90 with only one hand on the steering wheel, and you'll have >RM100K left over to get a 2nd new car or new GF."

So I'm with you on the RM300K mark. ;)

keep in mind tho, that while the Impreza will blow a 325i e90 away at the slightest twitch of the throttle, the ride quality in an Impreza will shock most of u guys who are used to luxo-super-smooth-riding bimmers.if u're not ready to sacrifice(..and i mean REALLY REALLY sacrifice)ride quality for that slingshot feel of the Impreza,i'd recommend u stay away.
if i had the money,i'd keep the Impreza AND get the e90 as a daily driver..both extremely nice cars in its own right.

Le Mans Blue does it for me..2nd will have to be the Black Mett.,makes the car look lower than it is,as oppossed to white or silver which makes the look taller.

i must say tho that the M-Tech kit does wonders for the e90's looks..simply stunning.

Tell me about it! Bone-jarring on KL streets! Sorry, supergrippen but IMHO butt-ugly too. But a where else can you get a supercar for such a low price?

Being a WRX STI man, you had to like blue of course. :)

Back to the 325i Sports, I wonder how useful the Satnav is. What's the current situation on base maps for M'sia I wonder. Any 5-series owners out there with opinions? I asked a 5er friend and he said he only tried it once when he got the car to make sure it worked. Never used it since! :D

well, what could be more embarassing than having ur arse whooped by a 'butt-ugly' fire-breathing bewinged monster? (wink wink nudge nudge)..
u'd have to admit tho,the STi looks like nothing else on the road today...which was why i got the STi.in this time of very very similar looking cars nowadays, its kinda refreshing.

i'm still a BMW man mind u,just that i can't afford a fast BMW yet.. next to a genuine M-car or the new twin-turbo I-6,i don't think i'll waste my time with non-M bimmers for the meantime(i've already made the mistake of going from an M3 E36 to a run-of-the-mill E46 328i..agonizingly slow).prices are too ridiculous nowadays, its mindboggling..

supergripen: looks like the upcoming twin-turbo x-drive 6MT 335xi coupe or sedan should be your cup of tea :p Rumor has it they're toying with an E93 cabrio version (AWD, cabrio, twin-turbo BMW  )

i have no doubt..no,i know for sure that the twin-turbo 335i is a belter of a car and short of a full-blown M-car,this is one helluva bimmer proven to be as fast if not faster than an E46 M3.but as much as i'd love to have it in my driveway, the price WILL prove to be a huge obstacle for me here in Malaysia-land.
it is a car that i aspire to own one day..but i'd love for it to have four doors and a slick 6speed manual.a genuine Q-car...

sorry guys..we're waaaay off-topic

Guys, I saw the E90 325i Sports Pack in the flesh today and I must say, it looks great. This is mainly down to the huge rims and M suspension. There's a new dilemma for me now though. While checking out the car, I stumbled on a CBU E92 323i. Golly! The coupe looks really handsome and distinctive from the 4-door saloon. The price ain't that bad at RM338K. In terms of performance, the 190 bhp 230 Nm torque and 8.6 secs century sprint don't differ much from my E46 325i. So, what do you guys think?! Should I go for the 325i Sports Package at RM306K or the E92 323i for RM338K???!!! Aiyoooo... headache!

Juan,

easy, do you really need a coupe in the first place??. 28bhp diff is a lot bro...go for the e90 325 sport, it's such beautiful 4-door sport sedan...you've been waitin too long, don't get diverted.

Yup, if you want a coupe... then the 335i is a good choice. If 2 doors is not your choice, then 325i sports is handsome enough :)

Did you test drive them JP? If not, how can you decide?

BTW, did they tell you why the 323i is lower in HP/torque than the 325i at 218bhp and 250Nm? Is it tuned down or a different 2.5L?

Juan Powerblow: It really depends on your vehicular needs. As a commuter vehicle I doubt you'd miss the extra horsepower from the 325i and the 323i.

Keep in mind the E92 is a strict 4 seater. It is a beautiful car especially with upgraded wheels. It should have the sport suspension calibration as standard. It is a decidedly handsome coupe and I guess the CBU status might be appealing to some. You'd undoubtably get more stares in an E92.

But as a value proposition, the 325i sports offers you so much more and then some. Your choice...

The 323i is to your 325i like my US spec 325i is to the 330i, both cases dumbed down versions of the N52B25/N52B30. The differences is mostly in the intake, exhaust and ECU.

Then the E92 323i is a 'looks only' proposition...fewer doors, no M sport goodies and less power....for more dough! Looks fantastic and 190bhp is more than adequate I suppose. I agree with you that the 325i Sports is a better value proposition.

Well said, E46F! It's what's called a 'lifestyle choice'..... :)

Now based on his avatar, I wonder which JPB will go for....hmmmm! :D
