Eh swinging bachelor like you, should get the ultimate player toy la... The E92 coupe with sunroof and white leather.

Once married with kids, the baby seat in the rear of the car will put an end to your swinging bachelor lifestyle.. no matter how cool u look in the ride. So enjoy it while it lasts :p

+1

Although I'd go with white/black/grey E92 with the coral red leather and grey poplar or aluminum...awesome and sexy combo. Also I don't think the 323i comes with the moonroof, which is no big deal.

As I mentioned in my previous post, value aside, the E92 is sexier and I doubt you'd miss the extra hp in KL. Set aside some funds for some sexy wheels and the aero front lip. I'd also debadge....drop me a line if you want me to mail you some '328i' badging :D

Just saw the 325i Sports spec sheet. Active Steering is not standard. Hmm so the word out there would be if it's a sports model no AS. AS is for cruisers like me.

Anyway I took the car up north last weekend and decided to stretch it's legs, to me the AS was just nicely weighted especially at speeds north of 200. Gosh now I really know what bimmers are at high speed. ROCK STEADY!

BMW 325i Sports + Coupe + Z4 M

When BMW Malaysia’s MD, Wolfgang Schlimme, fired up the local subsidiary of BMW AG, one of his promises was to broaden the range offered to Malaysian customers. He could see that BMW had not been selling in the sort of numbers it should have been doing (in terms of official sales, that is) because there were limited choices in the showrooms. Within a short time, he tripled the model offerings and even better, launched brand new models in Malaysia within a very short time after they went on sale in Germany.
This was a great contrast to earlier years when it took a year or more for a new model to come to Malaysia and even longer for it to be locally assembled to bring its price down. Such a situation in the past meant that grey importers, who have no concerns about after-sales services nor ensuring that the cars are suitably specified for hotter and more humid tropical conditions, could do a good business.

That early promise by Mr Schlimme has been kept and today, the company is focused on constantly refreshing the line-up, a key marketing strategy of BMW. Offering new products - with tangible improvements, of course – is what keeps people interested in a brand and BMW’s marketeers have understood that all along. Also a much-studied strategy has been BMW’s clever use of engines to widen the variety; constant engineering-driven upgrades have maintained sales for most models over longer periods than many other rivals which typically see a decline towards the end of the product’s life-cycle. Sticking to this strategy, BMW Malaysia has added another variant to its locally-assembled 3-Series - the 325i Sports. Besides the impressive 2.5-litre 6-cylinder double-VANOS, VALVETRONIC engine which develops 160 kW/218 bhp, the 325i Sports also comes with a standard ‘M’ Sports Package which includes the M Aerodynamics kit, 18-inch’ Star Spoke M Light Alloy Wheels with run-flat tyres, M Sports Suspension, and M Leather Steering Wheel.
By packaging these extra accessories with the car, buyers can have the cost included in their H-P loan. If they were to buy the M Sports Package later on, they would have to come out with the entire cost in one lump sum and these original M parts from Germany are not cheap either!

The highlight of the 325i Sports, however, is the BMW Navigation System Professional on the I-Drive platform, available for the first time in any sedan of this class. Announced earlier for the 5-Series and 7-Series, it is now also available for the 3-Series. “Last year, we continued to invest in our strategy that concentrated in providing choice and availability to our customers. This strategy led us to increase our investment with our partner Sime Darby in the local assembly of the 3-Series in three variants. This month, we raise the benchmark a notch higher with the new 325i Sports.” Mr Schlimme said.
He added that in offering choice and availability, BMW also never wavered from its initiatives in continuing to import its other models so that Malaysian customers can enjoy BMW’s full line-up. This is shown by BMW Malaysia also launching the new 3-Series Coupe and Z4 M Coupe together with the 325i Sports.
The new 3-Series Coupe, available as 323i Coupe and 335i Coupe, is said to be ‘the embodiment of sportiness, performance with unmistakable elegance’. The more powerful 335i Coupe has a 3.0-litre 6-cylinder in-line engine with second generation direct injection (High Precision Injection) and another first in a 3-Series – a Twin Turbo.
With its trademark M characteristics doubled with the elegance of a classic sports coupe which many consider ‘the most beautiful high performance sports coupe in the world’, the Z4 M Coupe, should turn heads on Malaysian roads with its design, fascinating sound and brilliant dynamic driving performance.

Thanks ALBundy! I must say Schlimme has done what he promised. Those are amazingly good accessories added to the 325i Sports for just RM18k more than the standard 325i! I'm glad I waited till 2007... :p

Yeah its looking good with the bodykit and bigger wheels...still the rear end is a little rough to stomach. But the coupe is a beauty....perhaps Chris Bangle will do a rear face lift for the e90 soon?

It looks GREAT with the bodykit and wheels. And what about the cockpit with the SatNav binnacle, i-Drive knob and fat steering wheel!! I can't believe they're giving all that for only RM18k more. Makes one wonder whether they're underpricing the accessories, or overpricing the standard 325i.

WRT the rear end, I know a lot of people don't like it much, but I think it's just right. Not too overstated and fanciful like some cars these days, and yet distinctive enough to make it stand out from the many lookalike rear ends. You can spot an E90 rear end from a km away on the highway.

Sigh! I think I've kena racun big-time...

Hey man.... it's the time now for you to get it. You have been eyeing, thinking, waiting for this for some time. Don't miss the chance k.... hehehehe.... helping to racun you more :)

Definitely David! Only waiting for the test drive now. As far as I know, it's not officially launched yet, and so test drives are not available....yet.

I racun-ed myself anyway from the time I joined this forum. But y'know, I usually make myself wait for something I want, because for me the thrill is always in the hunt. Usually when I finally get what I've been yearning for, the excitement goes away quickly and I start yearning for something else. Sigh! It happens to me all the time. So I enjoy the waiting and yearning for as long as possible. It may sound silly, but that's me... :p

Yup Schwepps, better get the 325i Sport now before the 325i gets dumbed down to a 190bhp 323i or becomes a roadtax-heavy 3.0 litre version which does not however have the specs of a proper 3.0 litre and presents no advantage whatsoever over the present 2.5 325i!

Alternatively, there's the all-new C-Class to consider...

I am gonna have to disagree as well. The Sport's M-Tech rear is hot! Really transforms the rear. Slap on a pair of blacklines and maybe the OEM rear spoiler and you're set. If you really want to gild the lily, you can add the CF rear difusers and front CF splitters to the m-tech body.

if bmw malaysia were to really launch the 325i sport at 310K alot of ppl will make noise at bmw.... those who order their car last month before the launch will thibk they are being cheated!!!!

i am starting to regret i think!!! i already bought the M bodykit and now saving up for the M suspension.... thought it will be something different.... but now they are launching the Sport edition!!!

Should have been a little more patience!!!!!

Schwepps: You're gonna love the sport seats and the M-sport steering wheel, they're a joy to touch and hold, perhaps one of the key addenda. Again, the ride is gonna be firm but if its a problem for you, remember, you can sort of soften it out by switching out the RFTs for some real tires like Michelin PS2s, Eagle F1 or P-Zeros. I doubt you'd miss the active steer much. I'd opt for the rear spoiler for full effect, it finishes the rump out nicely.... oh and maybe some 12mm or 15mm hubcentric rear spacers down the road, to fill out the fender wells, and of course the obligatory blacklines.

I think they will bring in the M proprietary Le Mans Blue as the exclusive color. They have mistakenly refered to it as exclusive monaco blue which doesn't make sense.

Don't fret, you still have an awesome car.

For variation on your m-tech body you can:

1) Add the OEM CF front splitters and rear CF difusers

2) Add the 3D Studie Lip for M-tech front

sis12Small.jpg

3) Add the AC Schnitzer lips for M-tech body kit (agressive look though).

Ya know what KL2DC! BMW should bestow on you the highest recognition for making the E90 look so damn good and giving us E46ers sleepless nights! I'm luving the E90 more and more every time I check this thread!! I'm waiting for a chance to test drive the thang next week but even then from everyone's feedback, why so I even bother!! E46F, 3er... how?!!

Please forgive my ignorance tho.. I know the E90 Sports Pack in Malaysia doesn't come with rear white lights. It's optional at RM1,190. What are "blacklines"?. I can't seem to spot the diff with the white lights!

P.S. I think Wolfgang is doing a splendid job with BMW Malaysia!!!! Keep up the great work!!!!!

I think you're referring to the OEM stock lights when you say 'white lights'. If you look closely there are strong white tones (look around the reverse light area). Most people say the lights look unfinished and ungainly.

The Blacklines are OEM accessory units. They come complete with bulbs and are plug and play. You can see these very lights on BMW's sucessful E90 WTCC race cars. Most folks say their lines fit the car better. Definitely a must on darker toned E90s though...

And you're right, BMW (M) is heading down the right direction. Kinda makes you think if they eavesdrop on us from time to time. I mean, we have been discussing the need for a Sports model for some time.

KL2DC,
is the the blackline actually meant for the US market rather than an accesseory
