Oh bro huskar I think I've figured out our CEL light error. I think its the MAF gone dead. RM600++ for you, RM800++ for me (530i has bigger MAF)

Cannot be lah. I recently changed mine brand new. How do u confirm it's maf that triggers the cel? If it's true then I think mine needs cleaning. Just to be exact I bought the maf sensor at ba for 546rm. Try look at ebay/amazon. Should cost cheaper. Hehe.

If yours is new then why should it need cleaning?

Anyway reading UK forums, the ebay MAFs are unbranded and poor quality. Better get the proper VDO ones.

if it's confirmed that the maf is the culprit for cel then i guess mine is dirty. just try my luck who knows the result might be positive.

bro i was thinking that bad spark plugs might cause the cel to light up. bmw scanner 1.4 describes that rich mixture is detected at o2 sensors. might be due to incomplete combustion due to bad plugs. just trying to relate things here. i can't think how the problem relates to bad maf. maybe not yet.

Yeah I'm heading to Bomin now to try figuring out what's the problem. Maybe just change the plugs since I haven't changed them yet.

Bro mine is confirmed ventilation air leak. Can hear hissing sound leaking somewhere. Will update soon. MAF and spark plugs are all OK.

I see. That makes more sense. Issue now is to find where the leak is. We wait for the outcome. Hehe.

if follow original size is should be DIN88 (which is 88amp). if you have accessories mostly they will upgrade to DIN100.

Any recommendation where to get Bosch Din100 for a reasonable price?

i had mine changed at my usual workshop nearby Kg Pasir Panjang Wiring..

since my batt went dead at night at the workshop, changed with them straight without checking whether price is OK or not..
