lh rear wheel speed sensor

mannn.....these sensors are really freakin' expensive.tried saving this with a repair previously, with soldr and elect tape but lasted only about 3 months.oh well.....nothing lasts forever.....

rm260 @ bav auto....bosch on the box but nothing on the sensor itself, unlike the ori sensor where SIEMENS was printed on it.

So regardless its a Double or Single Vanos system, it always come with one Crankshaft sensor?

Not sure whether the previous owner has changed it, but the one that i am getting is the ori unit, so hope it will last for another x number of years lah :)

if cost is yr main concern, then the e39 is not for you.

it will be cheap...er if you can diy.or if you have good knowledge of things mechanical.if you totally depend on a mechanic....ensure you have a fat wallet.sorry.facts.

Just find a good mech out there, treat him nicely and he should be able to advise u abt your maintenance..not all parts are expensive

hi herbert,as the title suggests...LH front wheel speed sensor.....previously it was the LH rear....;-)

moots suggest you apply something like window lubricant to your new sensor cable to maintain its suppleness .
The cable easily brittle overtime.Thats what i did to all door rubber to keep the NVH low

I think its better if we can get cheap parts then go to our workshop to change or service. Much cheaper that way....but we have to get the parts cheap la...else no point. can check out BVM Auto...new website, the prices are quite cheap there..

Thats how i survive my udm with my miniscule salary..often i source the parts on my own n my mech does the rest for me....

I'm looking around for e39 coils..my service centre asking price about RM130 per piece inclusive installation..I just checked with Bavarian Auto at segambut, the cost per coil is only RM90 per piece...Anyone has better deal? Tq

I understand that there are two brands of the coil. One is bremi and the other is bosch. I have no idea whether one brand can fit another or not. But I do know that bremi is slightly more expensive than bosch. Perhaps the rm90 quoted is for bremi. Just ask them this if u call them again.

Happened to me as well. When I called them before I go they said its RM90. When I go and buy in the shop they charged RM82. Bought 3 coils separately at different time and all charged RM82. Bremi ones should cost RM120-130 upwards I think.

Oh bro huskar I think I've figured out our CEL light error. I think its the MAF gone dead. RM600++ for you, RM800++ for me (530i has bigger MAF)
