Bro. That's not the end on my problem. After Aux fan repaired, realised that PDC got affected... Not PDC not working. Need to sent it back to the same shop for checking. Suspect d fuse or no proper reinstallation of d sensors... Haiz.

My E39 aircond suddenly working with minimal air. Cannot control the speed.
Went to workshop and they said blower motor causing the problem, no carbon.
For those had experienced changing the blower motor before, how much it normally cost and the dashboard had to be taken out??

Wah recently lots of E39 with aux fan problems.

2 months back the fan became very noisy, i got over it by spraying WD-40 which worked. however this temporary fix fail this time. so getting ready for the change.

Could be just the Final resistor kaput. Go and see Naidu our aircond specialist behind Shell petrol station, Jalan Gasing, PJ. If indeed blower fan kaput, price should be about RM 1k and need to remove dashboard.

Resistor is located behind the glove compartment.

Yes, that is a sign of FSU failure. U can buy it in BA and replace yourself, easy one not need to take out dashboard, only need to take out a piece of cover.

I am not as good as your luck. My compressor is give up after 6 years service me. Spent RM2030 today to replace the ori compressor (1350) + dryer filter (150) + valve (150) + full flush (80) + o-ring + oil + gas (180) + labor (120).

The packaging of compressor is lousy and i can not see any BMW logo on the box. It made me feel like i kena chop by a recond unit. Anyway, the air is cool now.

Its what people overseas calls a 'hedgehog'

Original on the car should be the big 'pins' if it was never changed before, new design, also original has smaller pins but many more quantity

changed the whole set of regulator and motor for the rear window for 550 incl. labour.

ya la bro,normally when you see posts about the fsu location it is mentioned to be under the glove box....for the lh drive cars....it is actually on the rh side side of the transmission tunnel .

blower possessed as like it continues running even if the key is out of the ignition right....?

Was trying to DIY the FSU yesterday. Failed... because I looked at the wrong side. I couldn't search anything here last few days, there's error occur while using the search bar. Paid RM30 for a 15minutes job

Old FSU, after 11 years, not changed. Old version and cracked at the epoxy. Symptoms, blower got possessed.

After 3 months driving my E39 523I decided to sent the car in to fix niggling problems and here is the damage :

Brake shimmering (upper arm bush peviously replaced) :
- Brake Disk - Front x2 (BMW) RM560


I have changed both disc from chop shop in selayang but its shown slight shimmering when braking and i suspect its because of the disc. My mechanic recomended for skimming both disc. Can it really be done with no other effets later?
