Just wonder how much to change E39

a) Gear Box Oil
b) What model/brand recomended?

Also looking for used / new CD Changer for this model?
Just wonder can i buy from Brothers SHOP?


Meanwhile i just change my e39 Aircon Fan and the sound are very loud
when it switch on...........

Mechanic claim it is normal because brand new . Betul ke????

wat sound u hv there? "tak tak tak"continuously or any other?

mine was "tak tak tak"continuosly when me on my aircond. after change compressor it gone,now happy with cool aircond.

if it is tak tak tak continuosly sound pls dont on ur air cond anymore,if the compresor giveway it will spoil ur whole aircond system n that will cost u a bom.

My CD Changer has been acting up since the day I bought the car. It's like the connection is very unstable. Sometimes the whole unit just switches off and come back on after a few bumps. Sent it for check up at a friend's accessory shop. He said the head unit has problems and best I send it in for check up and repair. I've contemplated changing the entire head unit to an after market unit but the downside to that is that the multifunction steering will not work fr the player if I change the player.

Just replaced wiper hose for RM170. Didn't know it will cost so much. Should have just DIY using aquarium air hoses....hehehe.....

Last 2 days my E39 brake suddenly give away, lucky didn't bang any car, was driving slowly and try stop the car using hand brake. My question is how much is the master brake pump cost for E39 anyone got any idea?

hi bro. did u check ur 2pcs front n 2pcs rear brake hose? according frm my mech if it leaking,the brake oso will give way.

check with my mechanic yesterday confirmed its air lock problems as the brake pump and brake hose in very good condition.

Just changed the brake pads last week.

Average life span for the front seems about 30k km & rear about 70k km. Not bad considering the heavy car.

Textar front brake pads : RM170
Textar rear brake pads : RM135

Darn good pads but dusty ...

Don't forget to give your brake disc a quick check too. On average, need to change after 2 changes of brake pads esp. the front.
