when we own e39, we have to accept the high side maintenance cost compare with other car. if my memory still fresh, i have spent more than RM60K over the 5 years for my BMW only for normal maintenance and tear/wear parts. now i m happy with the almost tip top condition for my BMW :love: :thefinger:

$$$$$ spend so far 4k++
major service
etrol fil,atf oil+fil+gasket..spark plug,wheel baring+rear break pad,expansion tank+water pump+hose...tie rod end most of the service done b4 facing any major prob this include my sprint booster which i installed yesterday...
happy 2 own this costly machine

Waiting for ah meng to open shop .. went too early duh!
Lasted since 2001 and still strong. Changed for precaution purpose.

Battery Delkor DIN85 rm580
Fuel Pump + Float = rm900+350
Spark Plugs BOSCH OEM = 28 x 6 = 168

I just got it last month 15th, 530i M-Sport UK spec.
So far this is the only things I did.
Next would be the oil sump which is leaking, steering rack also leaking a bit.
Currently 108k KM, Absorbers is leaking and am looking for Bilstein B8 or Sachs ADVANTAGE.
1st time
My 528i 1st bill after 6 mth pakai:-
1. Sachs Adv Fr RM450/pc
2. Sachs Adv Rr RM420/pc
3. Absorber sponge & cover RM50/pc
4. Absorber link Rr(short ones) RM80/pc
5. Power steering hose RM130
6. Power steering oil RM20
7. Castrol 10W RM155/tong
8. Oil filter RM40
9. Labor for all the above RM320
Total kopak RM2,920. The mechanic said the old absorbers were the original factory ones..8 yrs old woo..meaning that the previous owner never changed. Changing the rear absorber really a hassle. He broke a few panel clips during the process...arrgh!!
Last week sudah masuk kasut Hankook. Kena RM2,000 plus. But my car now rides better than my bro's E60...(at least that's what i think heh..heh)

actually arzack spent about RM10K. Rims/tires are more for gatal2 only la.. hehe.
You don't do this often as discs/pads will need replacing every 2-3 years depending on mileage and bushings every 3-4 years. Sensors once every 6-7 years. So not bad.
I spent RM12K upon owning my E39 for 30 minutes. All the wear and tear parts replaced to ensure I have a clean service history incl coolant/radiator parts.
At least I know it will last 2-3 years (touch wood).

Classic Star at Kayu Ara...Ah Keong is the main man. Shop is nearby the new Fella Design Showroom after d'sara toll. Been hearing a lot about this guy even before i bought my UDM last dec. From the work...quite experienced.
