A. Following are details on cost to replace brake disk & pads, abosrbers and related items to resolve clunking sound.
Done on 26 April 2008 at M Speed Auto Service, Taman Ind. Subang
1. 2 pcs Front absorber - RM960
2. 2 pcs Front absorber mounting - RM200
3. 2 pcs front absorber aux damper - RM 70
4. 2 pcs front absorber cover - RM40
5, 2 pcs upper arm - RM740
6. 2 pcs lower arm - RM740
7. 2 pcs link rod - RM200
8. 2 pcs side rod - RM360
9. 2 pcs front brake pads - RM180
10. 2 pcs brake discs - RM600
11. 1 pc brake wear sensor - RM40
12. Wheel alignment - RM25
13. Labour to carry out above - RM 140
Total Bill - RM 4,295.00
B. Following was done on 2 May 2008 at the same place as mentioned above. The following was done to rectify slight vibration felt at steering wheel when stationary:
1. 2 pcs Engine mounting - RM350
2. 2 pcs Gear box mounting - RM 100
Total - RM450
C. Following was done on 27 Oct 2007 at the same place. This was to rectify erratic idling and engine vibration when stationary.
1. 1 pc vent hose - RM 85
2. 1 pc water hose - RM150
3. 1 pc vent pipe - RM140
4. Pressure valve - RM230
5. 1 pc vent pipe (or something like that) - RM145
6. 1 pc return pipe - RM145
7. 1 pc wiper tank cover - RM13
8. 1 pc reservoir hose - RM55
9. 1 pc blower air hose - RM 90
10. 7 litre engine oil (synthetic) + oil filter - RM338
11. Labour to do the above - RM 120.00
Total cost : RM1,511
D. Following was done at ES Auto Air Con Service at Jalan Gasing. This was to rectify problem with aircon - cold at times, most of the time not cold.
1. Receiver dryer switch - RM190
2. Compressor - RM1,650
3. To vacuum and compressor oil & gas - RM60
4. 1 set o ring - RM15
5. Labour charge - RM90
Total cost - RM2,005
Therefore total cost spent so far since I bought the car (2nd hand) in May 2007:
RM4,295+RM450+RM1,511+RM2,005 = RM8,261
Well what can I say. Never Have I spent that much in maintaining my previous cars (Perdana, Waja, Volvo 144s, Peugeot, Ford escort, Saga, Corona, Wira, Sonata)...even if I were to add the maintenance cost for all the cars that I have owned.
However must admit the BMW is definitely the Ultimate Driving Machine but alas it is also the Ultimate Costly Machine.
Any advise is welcome on the parts that I have replaced. Not sure if I really need to have changed certain parts. TQ

Decided to replace the Petrol Pump (though I do not face any problems), as advised by my mechanic. Since 2002 have not been replaced and since I will be driving outstation soon, decided to go for it.
