I stick to auto :D Kaki sudah penat tekan manual while owning E34...or sudah tua :D

Dont know if you have tried but the new model use a different type of twin mass clutch !

If they the (clutch set) has been change new even if they are a OEM replacement ie LUK you seriously be surprise how light the clutch pedal is.... it wont be as light as a HONDa or a Toyota but damm for a conti car you can't get any lighter !

Get a chance try to drive 1.... and feel the difference mate...

my E39's clutch pedal is super light too even thought i used a used clutch from the UK that came with my gearbox. abit too light, i would prefer it to be a little heavier like the one on the new renault sport megane 250 cup :D

anyway, some pix updates:

wah..u also went down the sticky route he...:D

I've been wanting to do it since the day I got my ride 2.5 years back, but it is during these 2.5 years that have allowed me to put aside enough fund for this...

Now there are some open issues as I only managed to allow her to stay at workshop for 2 weeks+ for the works :-

80kph at 2000rpm
100kph at 2500 rpm

is this normal?

Transmission failsafe check light remains on.
Whenever PDC button pressed, reverse lights switched on, don't honk me, i'll blind you with my fast-blinking reverse lights!!

Seewai, whats your ride? if you are driving an e39 523i, both are not normal..mine is running 80kph at 2000rpm, 125kph at 2500rpm...

JFT63, she's a 525 M54B25. Is your ride manual too?

you need to find out what gearbox model you have and what rear diff you have... then only you can calculate what the proper speed is supposed to be.

Paul,

Your car gor SC rite? Where do u install? Do you mind PM me your ctc no? TQ

Installed by Ah Wai @ BMWorld/M Motor Garage :top:

bought from this ebay seller Gripforce Clutches, this is the package with luk clutch set and a lighter chromoly flywheel. around rm2050 including shipping from US to MY + tax kena rm120 only.

took the car out from the workshop the past 2 days... the flywheel has some rattle but i dont mind the sound. the engine still not run in and the tuning is still out, but the car is quite zippy even at half throttle to a self-imposed 4,000rpm rev limit, NICE!

even though all from the same m52 family... when displacement changes, i feel the engine note changes as well. so hard to have good self control during break in period... 4,000rpm self imposed redline.
