found out price of radiator at stuttgart is $500
e36 325i
wondering where to send to get the radiator changed -pj area
not get potong and unprofessional job

tomspc,

Check the thread on the workshop. Normally, i will go to M1 in Kayu Ara.

i also got the original PDC for E36 for RM 400.

Rear top rubber moulding for RM 115 and botton for RM 60.

Also got the rear chrome pipe for RM 77.

Bought the front wiper grill for RM 75 for 2 piece and RM 4X8 for the clips.

REPLACED MY RADIATOR AT STUTTGART PJ - NOT VERY HAPPY LOR
hi bros,
finally i had it done.
At Stuttgart -- duh , cos its near my work place
damage $8++

yyyyyyy.
suppose to be $590 wor
$500 for radiator
$90 service

i left the car there
30 min - they call me and said need to change few other things - sakit sakit my heart
went there - showd me a broken thermostat housing , i drive there was ok wor
said got hairline crack ---- how leh , wat to do , have i been had - this is something
all car owners dont like , send to do one thing - somethings else have to change.

after the job done - i go to see my car ,,,, undecided yet
thing is fixed lor
but my covers etc - screw loose , threads worn , expansion bottle also look like not mounted properly --- i post pic next day , u see for urself lah

i dont comment now -- see how things goes for i month , keep my fingers crossed
the part said to have 1 month warranty , somehow they dont wan to write this down
on service sheet - only after i reminded many times then write it down.

so now i have a used e36 radiator for sale - some slight leak from the plastic side - should be repairable - who wan pls pm me

when you change the radiator, normally the thermostat housing, belts, water pump, hoses are also changed. It could be cracking already.
I never mess with anything to do with coolant in Bimmers.

Show pictures on how the stuff was installed. By what you have described, the workmanship sucks.

had a heart stopping moment this morning
puddle of water under the radiator
wattt - just done the radiator
quickly take to stuttgart -
luckily the mechanice check and found it is from the hose
not fitted properly
now keeping my fingers double crossed - dun wanna any more ......

how to attach pic here ?

So I finally decided to send my car for service and not use the workshop my dad goes to (F.O.C if I go there but I kinda suspect the mech is a lazy turd). Anyway, decided to try out BMWorld at Desa Pandan since it's near my place.

BMWorld Desa Pandan 28/04/08
1. Oil filter - MYR 35
2. Washer fluid - MYR 10
3. Air filter - MYR 70
4. Fuel filter - MYR 80
5. Fuel hose - MYR 30
6. Hose Clamp x 6 units - MYR 30
7. Coolant 1.5L x 2 units - MYR 70
8. Outer door rubber mouldings x 4 units - MYR 700
9. Door handle rubber seal - MYR 60
10. Fuel pump hose x 2 units - MYR 100
11. Labor charges - MYR 150
12. Petronas Syntium 5000 (6.5ltr) - MYR 364

Total damage - MYR 1699

The fuel pump hose is for the 2 fuel pumps located under the back seat. I decided to ask the guys at BMWorld to have a look at it and I was happy I did because they were brittle and could possibly give way anytime.

All in all the service was very satisfactory and the guys at BMWorld Desa Pandan is really great. I'll definitely be going back again.

Bro anxious,

I think u better dun give the conversion rate cost as I found it not accurate. Its more than what u calculate. It will be more if the price quoted not inclusive 7% GST. This is 2nd time I think did this:smokin:

Sorry, I guess you can ignore the conversion. Anyway, for most parts its probably better to get it in Msia.

As for GST, i thought you can get refund. Of course you may be subject to Malaysian Customs Tax.
