It sits higher from the ground, nearer to your ears. Plus, greater ground clearance, more sound transmission
Have you heard the noise on the 6cyl turbodiesel on X5? It sits higher and nearer to your ears then the X1..but sounds much smoother...Get your facts right before just post it mate..

Agree to disagree remember? You have a bimmer and I have a bimmer, you make the right choice by choosing a 320d, economical and torqey. I choose a petrol version 320i because I dislike the diesel clatter. Which part of that decision constitute hypocrisy? You can make fun of guys driving petrol version having to pump petrol every few days but you are unable to accept guy's comment about the diesel clatters. Lets agree to disagree! Each bimmer has its pros and cons. We have to live with it!

Sure will ;) provided you dont call petrol version bimmer owner stupid or :stupid:... :)

We are not the experts...look up albundy posts recently. He is a BMW Advanced Driver trainer and founding member of BMWCM. He is ALL for diesel.

True, but I believe Albundy did not call the owner stupid or:stupid: for choosing a petrol version bimmer :) Lets agree to disagree wil ya?!

It's never meant to be a fact laa... just a silly note.
otherwise a short guy will hear more noise than the tall guy
or perhaps the same since the shorter guy can hear clearer from the ground clearance... Aiyoo!

On a serious note, is there an aftermarket hood insulation for the X1 for retro fit?

I did not call anybody stupid...please.

if i'm in ur shoe i'll go for C250CGI. Passat is rying to win more market share by offering lower price and 5 yrs warranty. u must look in long term coz the servicing is more expensive n resale value is bad. if u compare apple to apple for bmw 325 and c250, the specs of c250 beats the 325

Drive it, experience it. Data on paper can't reflect the fun factor.
I wasn't impress at all when I test drove the C250CGI.

You all are scouring on which petrol car is decent, has the grunt and value for money. Call me bias but go for the new uprated 320d and you won't regret it. Its faster than the 325i, monstrous torque waiting to be unleash, looks the same as the petrol. with sport you;ll have the extra body kit, and $$ smaller hole on your bank account.

So, don't worry! enjoy the sweet liquid-gold diesel! You go faster, you pay so much less! Doesn't make bloody sense and it's bloody unfair....I feel sooooooo sorry for all the petrol users in Malaysia. My friend's 911 uses 135 ringgit of petrol for a measly 330 kms. Of course, he must be a rich man to afford a 911...but still...rich doeasn't have to equate to being...ummmm...a little stupid, right?:stupid:

Lets agree to disagree

Honestly, I don't understand what the fuss is all about which is more superior, diesel or petrol.

I like voluptuous women and my brother likes slim women. We never poke fun of each other’s preference. Both voluptuous and slim women are equally good.

Absolutely right mr chen....but i am wondering......slim as in airport flat? Voluptious as in Dolly Parton?:eek::eek::eek:

And I am wondering why u guys are not at the TT going on right now?! I got my excuse...while waiting for szehoong's call...i put my head down for a while and woke up 2 hours later to find 3 missed calls!!!

i don't think that 320d is faster than my 325i. IT may be torquey but has no top end power
