(2) the graphite showcar on BMW marketing material is heavily photoshopped ..... in real-life, there is no way a car can shine like that!! Notice the almost-perfect reflections of the surrounding environment on the car ..... so I changed because I know if a real car in graphite cannot shine like that, then it would not look the way I wanted it to.

Who said Sparkling Graphite cannot shine like that? :D Ok lar, close enough...

Yeah, the 325i is considered the bottom rung, the loss leader, the value model. BMW NA decided only the uplevel 330i is worthy enough to have the chrome bits. I retrofitted the 330i's grille and lower finishing rods and installed the chrome exhaust tips. I am missing the chrome window surround/door trim and as well as the body colored roof channel trims and of course the 17" wheels.

LOL

It took at least 8 hours of applied effort to get that shine. Its zaino polymer sealant so it'll stay like that for up to 8 months with proper maintenance. So far nothing sticks, not even bird droppings, it just slides off. I am thinking it might even be bulletproof LOL.

Anyways, winter's around the corner, need to protect the paint from salt, grit, ice and slush

Thanks for the comments guys!

You can clearly see the reflection of the overhead garage opener lights on my hood!

Great TiAg is an awesome color....and the easiest of the 4 colors offered, to maintain.

There is an inverse relationship/range between beauty and maintenance when it comes down to car color/paint. Starts with TiAg-low maintenance and ends with glossy black-slave to the car. :D

Edit: Refreshed the list

Wow noticed quite a number of 325i listed here....

KL2DC the shine on your car is awesome.

Just asking has anyone added chrome tips to the exhaust? Where do you get them in Malaysia and how much? Just wonder how come BMW, being a prestige brand give us those kind of exhaust tips. really cheap looking man!

If its any consolation to you, US 325i pipes (and the 328i as well) are left unfinished too. There is an OEM accessory chrome exhaust tip that you can buy, it slides on and its secured tight with hex screws. Its about $70 a pair here at dealer prices.

The p/n for the 325 tips is: 82-12-0-398-334 (TWO REQUIRED)

A better solution is to get 2 left exhaust pipes off the 330i. On the 330i, the tips are more like sleeve cylinders and slides on all the way to the muffler box giving it a complete look. There are no hex screws, it snaps on tight when you push it to the end. FYI, the lefts are longer than the rights as the 330i has the exhaust valve sitting on the right pipe.

The p/n for the 330 tips is: 2 x (L) 18-30-7-549-558

Check with local parts supplier to see what kind of deal thay can get for you. FYI, these tips are easily DIY'd.

hi guys, the funniest thing had happen to me today when i drop by AB , Penang,

remember the key fob roundel issue, AB penang had get the roundel and stick it to my fob that dont have one....n give me the guarantee it wont peel off...
sigh...what should i do if it just fall off one day without my knowledge.

the E92, 335i look irresistible......

KL2DC.. where can i get the Zaino polymer sealent? It work? need something good to protect my black sapphire......as black is hard to maintian..lah.

fayehong...did I hear that correct?? AB, Penang has fob roundel stickers available? As mentioned, US dealers go straight to full replacement of these fobs.

If they're stuck on right, it should be alright. When it falls off again, just take it back to your SA and claim warranty.

Not sure about local availability of Zaino, but more information on their website: http://www.zainostore.com/

Hi Everyone,

They are not willing to change the items as per the intial list. Therefore with a reluctant heart I am cancelling the whole deal. Thank you everyone for your feedback/input. Your support and sharing spirit is fantastic.

Please remove my name from the list.

Cheers and Happy Motoring! Keep the roundel spinning!

aww man...that sucks! AB should be professional and treat all customers the same, not satisfy some and not others. Why don't you get the CKD then? Don't forgo the E90 just because of this....

Or don't tell me they were BS-ing all along when they said they were changing the rubber parts on the Port Klang CBUs??

Danc - I would urge you to look at the CKD, becos they are really not bad ..... I do have another car which is a CBU and guess what - the battery failed at 19000km and the vehicle stability sensor failed at 20000km!! Both items set me back about RM3000+, as they had crossed the one-year warranty.

Oh yes, the left wiper arm also failed, at about the same time.

The CKDs are built to BMW standards and besides, they come with a 60000km warranty and including such things as brake pads ..... these should combine to give you peace of mind.

As for sales reps, if you would like, I can introduce you to the guy who did my car - he is an independant agent who gives personalized service. I guarantee you service levels are absolutely first-class - I had my car delivered right to my doorstep, and at a time determined by me!! He even did my JPJ number, arranged for the bank officer to see me at home for formalities etc.

Don't give up - it really IS a beautiful car to drive!! :D
