Price/finances is a private issue, you won't get much response here but, Ok I'll bite...not more than $400 per month.

Donny C, don't be disheartened. The car is half the cost in US compared to here! Lots of us wouldn't mind what you pay!!

Hi again guys/gals. Need your help. I understand from some of you have just taken ownership of you CBU 2005 pre-registered cars AB/BMW has changed some common items. Correct me if I am wrong, these items needed changing as the cars has been left in the port for sometime and thus were not up to spec.

1. Tires
2. Rubber lining all around
3. Battery
4. Fluids that have dried up

I insisted that I wanted to see the car before I accepted it and after seeing the car, now it seems that the above items are NOT standard to be changed. I saw the tire and it was a little yellow which to me is the rubber compound getting dried up. I told my SA that there were people who bought their cars from AB all had these items changed.

Now I need your help to prove to AB that this was actually done for all of your cars. Would it be possible to share with me your registration no or chassis no just to prove that this was really done by AB/BMW. If you are not comfortable posting those details could you please email me @ dan_chng@hotmail.com. I am really in a fix here hope that you all can help out.

If they are not going to change the above items for me it will be a deal breaker and I will not buy the car, or any car from AB/BMW.

Please help and in the mean time since all this is still in the air may I request that my name "danc" be taken off the E90 owner list as I may not be an E90 owner.

Danc, wish I could help but mine is not a CBU..... as I always forsee having problems with CBU..... especially those year 2005, stranded in the port for a year!

And also one of my friend having so much troubles with the CBU unit. He got it at a cheaper price and back in his head thinking that CBU is of better quality than CKD which actual fact it is NOT or no proven record of it is!

danc, chk your private msg inbox, PMed you my car details FY further action. I have piled-up to >2000 km and so far (touch wood!) no problems - other than the software issues discussed before.

Before comitting myself, I have been guaranteed by SAs at Sg Besi (Jimmy Gan) and Glenmarie that all items as you mentioned will be changed. And it makes sense due to safety and warranty issues. One way to check the rubber stuff is they would hardened/sorta brittled or even cracked if not in good sealing condition.

I'd suggest you talk to the branch manager (G'marie is Kenny). Kenny infact provided me a courtesy car (E90 320i) for almost week while waiting for my delivery.

Pls let us know what is the outcome.
