Just the ipod cable will be enough as our e90 comes with ipod preparation whereby we can just plug the cable to the ipod and play it accordingly.

The E90 owner list is in a separate thread now, David. This is a hangout thread for general discussion on E90. They were separated by XXX.

Thanks david. i'll explore to purchase the cable then. btw: anyone knows roughly how much and where to get this?

hi guys, just got back from Singapore....the drive with my e-90, 320 is just superb except some hiccups..i.e. lack of the needed power when the speed is exceeding 160 km/h. [especialy when u race with some 2.4 japanese car, u wont feel the ohmmmm.....as the the car accelerate not very fast when speed beyond 160....but the top speed of 215 is good enough to overtake most of the car in the highway]

overall..the car is superb..if we take into consideration of the CC,..the fuel consumption is just superb...at a average speed of 140-160....our e-90 could achieved a average of 8.5l/100km......will brief u'll more if you r interested.

nite n happy belated new year.

Welcome to the club bemz.

Hi fayehong, did you try Sports Mode? You will get more ummph especially when overtaking. Wow, you actually reached 215 km/h? I only had the guts to reach 180 km/h.

yes... rookie...where can get the sport mode..actualy most of the time when i race with other car out there..i was using manual gear shift....m4 or m5 at most..but the rpm is very highlah....180km, if m5 =rpm at 4900, if m6, rpm=3500 only
if u r travelling at 160km the rpm at 3000 and the fuel consumption is low as well , i think is around 9l/100km if i m not worng.....:D

yes , will used sport mode in the future..but correct me if i m wrong, is this sport mode the same wiht other japanese car...i.e. there only change the gear at a higher rpm????

anyway the shiftronic is good enough to race the car n if u dare to..i think rarely any car can overtake u then... i actually reached 210 km/h but only for less then a minute..as traffic is heavy. good road holding car. now i started to appreciate it value now.....like falling in love with her now....hahahaha.

When you 1st shift your gear lever to the left, you are on sports mode. You will see an "S" indicator instead of "D" on your meter panels. Yes, sports mode means the gears will be changed at a higher rpm. :)

Windscreen Chip Repair

Hi guys, been a while...quite busy lately and the Beemer serving me well so no new excitement to share however jut noticed my windscreen has a small chip abt say 3 mm (does not actually propagated to full blown crack yet) just the outside surface - must be due to stone flying smacked on when I was doing 190 clicks.

Not in the mood to give away RMs to AB yet to replace the whone windscreen. I read somwhere, chip and cracks on wscreen can be repaired. Any ideas/suggestions by fellow E90s forummers where I can go for a quick/cheap repair job?

BTW, my unit already done the abligatory (and FOC) first 10k service. Dont hold your breath it was just an oil change.

Cheers

Macheet,

There is a windscreen repair shop, I think it's called Mechanix. It's near the Khana Curry House in PJ some where near Rothmans roundabout. I did 2 repair with them in my previous ride, good job.

FYI The oil change at AB cost RM 600+

Thanks danc for quick reply. Will certainly check-out the place.

Yes, I know..saw AB invoice to BMW for that 10k service, circa RM650++. But I also took the 'opportunity' to install chrome exhaust tips while I was there so set me back abt 450++ - could not help it. Give you that enhanced look from the rear though.

Cheers

there is another windscreen repair centre opposite Pelita Curry Hse in SS2 it is a hse on the main road directly opposite Pelita.
