Guys, my SA quote me M-sport suspension wt stabilizer bar, bolt, nut & labor at RM3800. Should I take it or is it better to use an aftermarket products (eibach, bilstien, koni) ?

I think the drop from M-Sport is less than aftermarket products (correct me if I am wrong), and probably less stiff. If you want to stick with stock then go for M-Sport. Furthermore at least AB can't say the warranty is void because you changed some parts. Can't really comment on the price thought.

JV88,

I am keen on the M-sport suspension. Which AB branch did you check with ?

JV88: .... The sports suspension lowers the car about 0.6-0.8 inches. Its expectedly stiffer than standard but the its well setup for the car. Plus it'd all be under warranty which maybe of value to a lot of people. The quoted price seems on the high side though for this setup. Its at least 20% more than I'd pay for.

KW Variant 1 is a compelte coil-over setup. H&R is a noted brand of aftermarket springs, their Sport setup for the E90 will give you about 1.6" drop. Same with the KW setup. If you want lower, go with the H&R Race springs (close to 2" drop, might need fender work, depends on your wheel setup).

David Yong,
its AB Sg. Besi...

guys, if I go for aftermarket setup (e.g Bilstein + Eibach) like most of our members here did, would it affect my car's part in the long run? As our M'sian road is not like the autobahn, I'm afraid within less than a year, my car will feel like 10 years old car already:D

Exactly, I'd go with the M-Sports set-up. At least the parts/install is warranted and it doesn't affect your new car warranty. Its also more comfortable. Believe me the car handles well with the sports suspension. Also you wouldn't want to be sitting so low anyways.

I have a funny inkling your E90s are sitting higher than our E90s. If anyone has the time, could you measure from the hub center to the top of the fenderwell and let me know the average....thanks.

My 2 cents is to go with the Msport setup if you really want to lower your car, which comes with AB warranty, and doesn't void the 3 year warranty.

Welcome to the family! :D Make sure you have the latest software update for ur car. I understand this is supposed to have additional features. Not sure what the features are (Newbie that I am :) ) but there are some new stuff from reading postings on e90.com forums.

Welcome to the gang sgbuloh_e90. :) Same reason why I got the Titanium Silver too :p. When you get the car, make sure you have the drive-off autolock feature enabled. This is available starting with the CIP 19.1 (software), and has to be enabled. Just get AB to enable it if not already done so.

Hi Everyone,

Guess what I am baaackkk! When to try the Merc wasn't very impress with the handling but the ride is just superb. So was contemplating the purchase, guess what, AB called me Wed and noted my "displeasure" and said that they will meet my needs and thus change what was necessary. According to them the car is a newer batch and therefore some things need not change i.e. rubber lining. But on good faith one of the door lining had a slight marking underneath which if you don't pull out you will not notice, they showed me and told me will get the replacement from Germany and will be changed. Still have not seen the VIN number but checked that it came with the latest software i.e. CIP 19.1. So I am back getting the E90. The manager called to assure me that everything in the car will be warrantied and my SA showed me the invoice which AB bills BM on parts changed, so I know exactly what was and was not done. But my SA said she couldn't give me the invoice.

So I am now a happy owner and keeping my fingers crossed things will go well.
