why worried for the diesel engine , in fact bmw diesel engine is much more durable than petrol engine ..

Million of appreciated for all the sifu reply!

I m now thinking of BMW320i, Audi Q3 and Volkswagen Tiguan. Which U guys will vote?

Thanks a again!

Tiguan shouldnt be in the picture for me, its just not visually appealing to begin with but thats just me. And i cannot compromise that for anything else.

I cant tell the diff between Q5 and Q3.

Can never go wrong with BMW.

BMW la....... Some more want to ask.

Choose carefully, higher car looks further in the view when driving and if u r going to use on uneven road surface or abit of offroad, better take SUV like Q3 or Tiguan, 320i just not for those road condition. Or u can consider X3? or X1.

Yes, higher car looks further in the view is what I like. BMW have better design and better branding! BMW X3 is too expensive for me. My budgent is 200-240k. Haiz..headache

anyway thank you Momoco bro!

Talk is cheap, test drive is free. Go for test drives on all you have in your consideration, bring a best friend to play the role of a critique to not get carried away for a clearer understanding. Plenty of biased poison in brand specific forums like these.

Bro kl_T, only you would know what's best for your requirements. SUV and saloon are two different category, so not really comparable.

No problem dude, just sharing some of my experience.

Before bought my F30, i consider of Q5 as well, becos of the view and all terrain capability*. Lets keep the story short, i had tested drive F30 but not Q5, cos I don even know about euromobile b4 this, and i went for recond car seller at roadside to "view" only the Q5, but didt have the chance to test drive it. At the eand, i decided to the F30 by the reasons:

1. its a new model for the year (2012),
2. powerful accelation,
3. sportier looks
4. easy to wash compare to Q5
5. the "cc" for a SUV is kinda lower (2.0), 3.0 would be nice.

There are some reasons i unhappy with my F30 too, but not much.

Overall, like others buddy told u here, go test drive all of them b4 ur purchase, it would be better in deciding.

Bro Momoco, mind to share? which model you are driving now?

I went to BMW showroom today. According to them the rusty seat problem already solved for the latest stock. I wanted to test drive 320i, but they only have 328i test for me to test drive only. I love the power but the price is out of my budget. Any bro here mind to share with me more about your 320i? According to them 320i white sport need to wait till May 2013.

Same here dude, I too like SUV, had driven one for 9 years, it's a fun car to drive. If you drive a saloon or sport - meaning lower vehicle for a while and then jump into a SUV, then you feel it, well that how it is for me. Initially had wanted a brand new SUV but changed my mind and thought that it should be a brand new nice car like BMW and a 2nd hand SUV. That was my strategy & besides my family need at least 2 cars on daily basis.

SUV does give you a good view as you sit higher than the rest. However, I don't like the bouncy feeling of driving a SUV especially when taking corners.

SUV with better handling than the F30 (irregardless of price point)

- cayenne
- infiniti fx
- X6
- X5

i particularly like the FX but its just too trashy to drive in town. cayenne has the best balance.

I am saying on general a SUV will not handle as well as a saloon when taking corners. You cannot deny the Law of physics. Of course I know there are better handling SUV than F30.

Some basic issues, rusty seat frame, knocking sound from driver side, and some just havent happen on my F30 yet (drivetrain?, wiper malfunction?)

After bought it, just hope the car are fine and perfect, but "something" keep happening.

I bought it on last year, its 328i.
