'We a community within bmwclubmalaysia are on a quest, a quest to gather all 5 series Owners for a gathering to build bridges, networks and most importantly to share the passion for this GREAT ‘Uncles’ Car and maybe along the way get into the book of records for the largest 5 series gathering.

Thinking of a unique event name, I'd let you know if I think of something. I'm picturing making a play with the number '5' or the word 'five'...y'know like instead of festival, we could call it a fe5tival or something like that.

Ok how about this for another idea...
Of course you guys are planning group pics etc.
Instead of photochopping the license plates out, use plate graphics!
At our meets, we designed a simple commemorative plate cover that we paste onto our plates to cover. At our october meet, we ended up placing the plate on our dashboard as a means to identify ourselves during the high speed convoy run. Its a small detail but it was appreciated as the participants got to take home yet another souvenir of the outing. We also used the plate as a ticket for our gift bags. We were sort of oversubscribed prior to the meet and our sponsor was only able to set aside a set amount of gift bags (BMW apparel etc) so to make sure only those who RSVP gets the full treatment, the plates were sort of a control mechanism.

but as much as i would like to I dont want to go to the extend of collecting payment for this event hopefully we can find a sponsor for things like that, bcos once u start collecting money all hell break loose and assumption of profit making

had a suprise meet last night with sapura GM.. i meantioned to him about the bimmerfest, and he said that they would contribute, i think kev is handling them about this issue..
as for the stickers, i have a so called sponser for this to be printed.. the more cars the better,
thinking of informing deputy Tourism Minister, Donald Lim..maybe they will help..
as for the police escort and convoy.. they will help..
need ideas from other forumers..
