Hi guys, my e90 lci 325i service interval(supposed to be 10k) has been reduced from 42k mileage to 38k mileage automatically. Is this normal? If yes, how does it work?

Can anyone share some experiences with me please.

Very complex algorithm. Taking into consideration of hash acceleration and deceleration patterns. No need to bother la. Just remember to do oil change every 10k km will do.

Should I follow the last 42k service interval or follow the computer new service interval(which is about 38k) ?

Ignore all. Just flow your own record.. every 10k km replace oil and oil filter.

Is the car still under BSRI or warranty?

Ok noted. Out of warranty. Not sure if I wanna tahan 4k mileage to service cause this car is very sensitive.

Based on the old models it was based on fuel used and time lapsed. So if you are stuck in a jam for a long time every day you are probably doing less mileage than somebody who drives fast on highway everyday. But the amount of fuel used and the engine running is roughly the same.

Its a complex calculation which is not based on just mileage

i heard that mileage km interval will reduced everytime we switch on the car n indicated on speedmeter not on idrive display!

To Haywire, you are absolutely right. Im always in the jam, In fact about 3 hours of jam per day for commuting to work.
So is it safe to follow back the workshop given 10km interval service or stick with iDrive service interval?
