rattling and vibrating issues

All these problems didn't arise in pre-LCI units, so it would seem like there is a definite build or components problem with the LCI E90. We did hear that they were cutting back on costs post-economic crisis, but this is really unacceptable quality! You guys should escalate without hesitation.

It appears that the noise issues, be they crackling, wind, creaks and groans afflicting the recent E90s are more than one would imagine. I mean, what of the other buyers who don't know of this forum. I myself stumbled onto this club by accident.

I think we should just create a post just for problems on E90s...or is there one already? LOL...

i've got the same issue's w my 325 as well, worst off i'm on 19's and running coilovers.
sent it back to IA & e clear tape helped abit but still there's annoying sounds coming from everywhere.
e noises seems to be coming from the front passenger door, sometimes centre console where e ziggy lighter is but mainly the dashboard when going thru road humps.
i've been lazy to bring it back to IA and have been living with it since so i'll likely send it in wen i go on leave over the nxt couple of wks.
i'm hopeful that they will be able to resolve it for me.

oh yeah, my front passenger floor mat floods whenver i wash my car,
WTF... so now i try not to spray water directly when washing it, damn i've been patient.
dis CKD build quality from INOKOM suxz big time, anyone got a no. i can call to give them a shelling

Take out the ashtray, wipe everything there down. If it's still noisy, ask them to replace the cover as it might be loose. Door misaligned in the case of the flood issue methinks. Same thing with mine. Also the front passenger door. Mine's a CKD too. They said it was the alignment of the doors.

Like Momma says, "They don't make 'em like they used to.".

Time to take one of the IA staff with you on a drive and for him/her to log every issue for remedial action.

We are all assuming your have not replaced your windscreen so we discount the fact that bad workmanship on the windscreen replacement causes the leak.. it happens..

... or maybe someone's drinking bottle not tightly closed and leak on the floor board..

I am also assuming non of your family member forgot to wind up the window and allow rain to get in but worry get scolded, all kept quiet and point the fault to BMW's built quality..

maybe flooding is not the right word to describe my issue ahaha but its quite damp for sure.
this has happened on 3 different occasions and I haf no idea where the leak is from.
everytime i wash my car, i ensure that all the windows are closed and shut tite.
funny coz when e car is parked stationary during the rain, its dry so me think it cld be e rubber trim at e bottom of the door.

surely i did not expect dis for a bmw, maybe i shld haf gotten an A4 or Merc instead... NOT... still love driving it too much ahahaha :top:

same issue, hope they rectified yours. yeah going in to IA on tues.
coincidentally got a call from IA asking me to come in for a check on some fuel pump or fuel line thingy.
so i'll take the chance to complain abt my issue's at one go, hopefully they'll manage to settle it at one go.

thanks for all your input guys/girls. Now, the rattling from the back panel behind the rear seats is getting annoying and a pain in the ass. Left front door panel is getting worse. So, my question is, what exactly did they do or did not do. Since collecting the car from delivery, I have now gone back to AB glenmarie roughly 5 times now to get things sorted out. Once again, disappointed

hi gilajazz, well, the rattling didnt get worse, however, left door and back panel sometimes still makes a lot of sound when driving through uneven or rough roads, if u guys/girls want to meet up for a drink sometimes would be fine with me. HCL

Any suggestion of good workshop to replace my door card clips coz got noise from there like hcl car... and also i have some cracking sound from the steering.

sharp, I m not sure buddy, its just a bad piece of automobile that was assembled and put together by a team of people who were on their periods that week ! where did you buy your car from ?>

got my car from AB, but from jb

the roads here in jb are terrible, so now it creaks ard the doors, not to mention, speed above 90km/h, u can really hear the wind from the drivers door

Guys, go get all the doors aligned. This might solve all the creaking noises.
Alternatively, change both sides of the rain channels, plus, the inner sides of the doors with 3M tapes.

The best solution is to park your car under shades, do not expose to the sun too long during the day.

what exactly is door realignment?
