SIGH.. if only they have a "LEMON law" in effect here like in the states. buy a new car, not happy due to all sorts of break-down and such, you have the right to get a new car to replace the lemon you have or a full refund.

check it out

do we have one in malaysia :( i dun think so ...

Man, this are the reasons why I still go for the Camry rather than a Bimmer... I always love the Bimmer, but fellow friends' experiences with their purchases have left pretty daunting doubts on Bimmers' reliability in my mind. I used to drive a Fiat Coupe and that car was superb in its handling... but it almost always have little niggling things to fix every other week. One friend's 7-series was like that too, and I was quite surprised as I thought that it was the high-end car in the margue.

Around town, he uses the 7-series; but when we go outstation, he uses the Odyssey. I thought that it was due to having bigger space for our rest along the way; but he told me that he was afraid that the 7-series may break down mid-way and it's harder to fix for non-authorized workshop, compared to Japanese engines.

I think that's not a fair statement. Yes, they will always be a few unfortunate people who get lemons, and if you browse the Toyota forums, you will see that even Camrys have their fair share of problems. But it is true that you get more scared when a BMW breaks down, as not every tom, dick and harry workshop will be able to understand its electronics.

programming not update ??? Ini Macam?? Meaning All The E60 They Sold Previously Got This Kind Of Problems?? Alamak~~~ This Is Funny La~~~

Wah.They Think You Are Guinea "P" Is It??

Your Car Is Not Recond Or Other Balia Car La............New Car La.....Ask Them To Replace One For You.....

Alamak~~~

Bro, i think all Lexus that come in through the authorized dealer are CBU, therefore least to worry about the reliability, workmanship, fitment, quality and etc.. furthermore, there are the new "kid" in this top marque market segment in Malaysia..For sure they want to make the best impressions in order to capture the market.. All the car are also products of no compromise engineering approach by Lexus.. so they really mean business.. however many auto journalist regarded them as lack of soul, design, style, passion.. not like udm...

First go there, phone makes it so easy for them to brush you off.

Go straight to the manager, tell him what's happened and demand a loaner car. Bullsh*t they only have one loaner car, if they try saying that then tell them to give you one of the demo or secondhand ones till your car is ready. Now with Ingress Auto open tell them you'll take yours and your associates' business there if they don't shape up. Also tell them you'll be taking this matter up with corporate.

Raise hell, don't be intimidated just because they have a fancy showroom, in the end they're in the same line of work as any roadside used car dealer.

And that guy who said he'd rather have Camry than Bimmer, man it's the same as people saying they'd rather have a Putra-lution or whatever than your Fiat coupe. It's not even the same class of car, or same class of driving experience, so how to compare...if anyone should understand about this it's italian car owners heh.

BMWs aren't really that bad, they just don't take well to mechanics that don't know what they're doing. Unfortunately that includes some of the dealers in this country.

BMW is all about electronics. That's my experience along with many others even in Europe and Germany. Your SA is just slow and unreliable because the software should be the first thing they look at.

Slug it out another week, and hopefully it's just the software or some electronics because those things are straight forward to fix and you won't pay a single dime.

shd i complain now or give them few more days? it happen Tuesday. Now already Saturday :(

k3nny from forum told me tat Sapura only have ONE courtesy car which is their MANAGER using it everyday ...

shd i email or actually fax them?

You should continue kicking their @sses, otherwise things will never happen. This is third world bro, not Europe. You must assert to make things happen. Keep on calling until they get fed up. Never mind. This is no longer your problem. This is their problem already. Call them bro. If you need to call them 100 times a day, then do so. But at the same time you can email them. You got to do what you got to do even though you may not like it. I don't care whether they got only one courtesy car or no courtesy car at all, or who drives the car. Bottom line, you need a car. Remember the time (in one of the threads) when I said that Sapura is AB in the making when it comes to after sales service? Well, it is about to happen now. It will happen much sooner if you just wait for their action.

The only way to deal with E60 is to reset and reprogramme the whole thing. Not just clear the fault. After all, with such problems no fault messages will register. It might take quite a while. If this fails, they might change the whole engine and ECU. The ECU could be at fault and/or the engine-ECU interface or crosstalk.

Most E60 got software problem. Other symptoms are lack of power, feeling "heavy" and stalling.

I Think If BMW Continue Has This Kind Of Issues On Their New Cars, Soon We All Will Start Buying Lexus...........

Any Person From BMW Reading This Post??

Well, May Be The Person Who Work For BMW In Malaysia Having " Boleh" Spirit, That's Y The Car So Many Problems, Alamak!!

BMW is not about electronics, it is about innovations. The Germans set the standard (ABS, active steering, night vision, Heads Up Displays, you name it). It is not easy to get 100% right the first time if you are the innovator. The Japs like to improvise, they study every single bits and pieces in BMW. In other words they are the follower. That's why their cars are more reliable. As for Lexus, they dare to guarantee that their cars will never breakdown.

Sorry to hear of your bad luck. Dissapointed with the problem and the service you're getting... doesn't say much about the car nor the distributor, i say, not only write to BMW M'sia, write to BMW SEA( Regional) HQ, i mean this is a premium investment and cannot expect to be given " the new one like that one " or " must run in 1st " responses ...come one, BMW has spent to much on R&D and they dont call themselve Ultimate Driving Machine..if it can't be driven.....

Bro, don't forget to cc a copy of your letter to malaymail. Sure you get top notch service!

Many years back, a friend's brand new E46 had serious oil leak problem until the hood also wet with engine oil. Glenmerie say its because of his aftermarket suspension !!!

He complain and bang table all the way up until he got a replacement car and he got an E39 520i. That was back in 2002 and the E39 was a company car for one of the kwai-lo boss stationed at Glenmerie.

See! U must have the tenacity to make things happen !! :D

What did your Salesman say? If I am the salesman, I will die die get u a replacement car and worst come to worst, the salesman should pinjam u his car, non BMW if u don't mind la.

U see RachelToh's salesman so nice, not only provide replacement car (E90 320i) during her E90 325i Sport service, the salesmen even drove the replacement car to Rachel's place and swap it with her and Rachel don't even need to go to Ingress Auto to get her car serviced. That's what I call after sales service!! And Hey! We r not talking about warranty breakdown okay! Just routine service!!

keeekeee, the ball is in your court and if you keep quiet, these irresponsible dealer will take it for granted. Talk to BMW Malaysia, they have plenty of training car la. Unless its all passed to their wives to send kids to school lor..
