My Bro in law took the pics. he's got some wicked equipment, it's in the post above :)
He also did some very simple Photoshop editing, but most of it was from the lense and his skills ;)

Finally after a long, long search and after viewing very many cabrios I finally found one that is rare both being a cabriolet as well as a 325 and I fell in love!

I got my Sleek yet muscular Machine on the 8th of September 2010.
He's a 1996 325i, Boston Green with an unbelievable low mileage at only 48k KM.

I also got a Hardtop along with it.

Thus far I've only change the backlights, got the LED Angle Eyes installed, got some custom made M3 floor mats, new discs and pads, new gear oils, chrome rings, M3 pedals, an iPhone compatible player and the clear indicators.. The rest are to arrive soon :)

Hope you enjoy viewing it as much as i do.

Thank you Megat!

I was so happy that it came true and quite fast too. I somehow thought i'd have to wait for a long time before one that meets my criteria and budget would come along..

Thanks for the welcome and invitation. Will surely plan something to come meet you guys in ipoh or so. It would be awesome to drive to Cameron, just hope it doesn't rain that day ;)

Keep well and do keep the advise coming :)

yeah - it rained on the way back during my last trip . mine is manual softop .
had to pull aside & lift the top . no drama though , once you are used to it ,
it can be done in less than a minute ....

how do you store the hardtop ?

i copied & DIY the below desgin

Z3Hoist.jpg

here's mine ..need some fine tuning / multiple pulleys to counter the lifting torque ..

Awesome. Thanks Megat!

Mine's a manual soft top too, and yeap I've managed to do it solo in less then 3 minutes, so now that you've set the benchmark, i'm gonna work on it to get it under 1min aka F1 style ;)

I've realized though that the manual is better then the auto in terms of alignment, as for the auto you will need to do so every 6 - 12 months and it has been noticed that the wind noise is much less on the manual's the auto's plus of course the cost of repairing the auto along with the availability of parts.
But i guess the Auto is more convenient just a button away ;)
But i'm quite happy with the manual, it adds a humility affect to it, as you need to pull over, cares her as you either open or tuck her nice leather like skin in ;)

In terms of storage of my hardtop, I got the actual Pulley and Winding thing (whatever it's called) from the previous owner, though he's misplaced some of the pulleys. I have yet to fix it to my ceiling, so now i just put it aside the wall whenever i take it off. I'm still trying to figure out how to do it, i think it's a good excuse to drive down to ipoh to learn ;)

is there anywhere i can read about it?

Thanks so much bro!
