I was down in JB for work. Popped over to Singapore for some new rubber for my 2012 F10 528i. Not certain if it's cheaper in Malaysia or Singapore but I ended up with this on 6 September 2016

Front: Michelin Pilot Sport 4 245/45 R18 Non-runflat SGD315 x 2
Rear: Michelin Pilot Super Sport 275/40 R18 Non-runflat SGD415 x 2

Total damage: SGD1,460

That day's exchange rate was 3.01

Love the non-runflats. The grip is awesome yet the overall drive feels softer and more luxurious now. Have to figure out contingency for a flat tyre though.

Decided to give the China brand - GoodTrip a try. Not too bad for the price. Haven't tried to go past 100km for now since is only to work and home. 245 40 18 GR66 97W - @ Rm 275.00 ea.

Basically I would say this tire is good for a "normal" driver. It is good enough for a day to day city use. Noise wise is quiet enough for me. Performance wise, I can't say much since I am not an aggressive driver. But for the price, you can't expect much. Initially I was going to get the Michelin PS4, but thinking that the CMCO situation now, I don't expect any long distance traveling in the next 1 year or so. So I decided to go for this brand. There was a review on youtube a while back by Wheleen Choy, not too bad of performance. For the price, even if it only last for a year or so, is still worth it. Other mid range and above tire are in the Rm 500.00 an up each. One feature of this tire: the side wall it protrude a bit out of the rim. which can helps to prevent the rim from scratching, something like the Goodyear Eagle (I Think)

I only got my E60 3 months ago. So perhaps later in the year I will do another Field report..

Yeah very true. It does the job to get u fm A to B. thats it. And yeah, this MCO thing is not gonna take us on long drives it seems. most of the time the cat is sitting idle. Looking forward to your next review bro!
