Hi F10 Gurus,
I've been a traitor for BMW 5 years ago when I sold my faithful 3 series for Audi A6 . After purchasing the Audi All hell break loose. If i calculated the maintenance money alone I could have tour around the world many times over and over and over . and my car still not in satisfying condition . Euromobil Shah Alam is the worlds most incompetent service center. Both Audi specialist in Old klang road will always do half assed job so you will visit them frequently.
Frustrated , last week I went for shopping for 2010 F10 523i millage , submitted my documents with out paying any bookings or test drive to see if loan can lepas . In the meantime I wrote email to Quill to check for the car history as I was told it was maintained at Quill PJ for the last 5 years by company , however to date there is no reply, a guy called and told he is busy and will reply when got time ( duh....)
Now the loan is approved ( good news for me ) . I am arranging a test drive soon, with no service records available (yet) , i don't know what to expect on the test drive ( i am very good mechanical guy however F10 is too modern for me to look for faults ) . I wanted F10 523i badly because i fill it is not worth it to spend a fortune in Audi repairs .
Kindly advice :
* any tell tale sign for me to lookout for during test drive ?
*can i get any information from the on board computer thru i drive ?
* I researched over internet for about a month daily but the is not much negative comment on the 2.5l F10 523i. is this a good choice? ( dont want to pay extra roadtax for 528i because i drive very slow )
*Shall i be worried with the same nightmare as Audi ? the purpose i am buying F10 is to have a decent reliable car ( i mentioned decent because UDM do have their tantrums )
