Jap Spec E60 - do's and don't

so what are we bidding for exactly? a solution to japan radio frequency problem? so whats the final price we need to fork out each to listen to the radio?

hi R.. the plan is to get a CCC swap from our useless jap ones to a more useable MY/EURO CCC.refer to mienauto's post to see what is offered by a MY/EURO CCC swap.

like u,i've tried boosters which are basically useless.can't even have a remotely satisfactory reception.

iPods are also out of the question..unless u let go of ur 6CDC and even that,u'd be limited in the number of songs u can have via the iPod connector.even having TV-on-the-move is a pain..

the only downside would be the cost(pretty high at around rm8-9k) and also we might lose the TV.u can however have DVD once u've added an ACM and a DVD player..and after the CCC swap,u can add Dension which will enable iPod as well.

I came across this device which can boost up the FM frequency and it sits on the dashboard with a LCD display and capable of reading your MP3 on your flash drive too. Will this also be a potential hazzard? The unit Im talking about is in the Motortrader in the accessories for sale column..

Bad,ur e90 ada i-drive tak? kalau tak ada,i'd suggest u get a normal head unit to replace the integrated BMW ones.they can actually do a nice moulding to cover the areas not taken up by the head unit.

in the end,this will probably be cheaper plus u get a lot more function from the latest head units..but don't jump on it yet la,maybe u can ask the e90 guys for more detailed advices.

if your car with non i-drive, you only need some setting to receive local radio,
no hardware change.

Hiya,

I am new to all this and i just got my car for abt a month. Jap Specs 2005 E60.

I am concern with 2 things
1. PDC - Quite urgent and important
2. FM Receiver - Not very urgent and but would be nice to listen to other thing other than the cds.

This CCC swap is to enable us to use the PDC and also the FM receiver right? And what price are we talking about? If it is not too pricey, i would definitely love to get it done.

Guys, been off radar for a while. I've got my CCC converted some months ago. Totally happy with Freddie's work. It's a good idea that you guys are teaming up for a group by. Quite sure he'll give you a good deal. Freddie if you're reading this "GIVE THEM A GOOOOD DEAL". Yes you loose your TV function, have added a couple of things like DVD, cameras et al. I say to you guys if budget permits GO FOR IT, the CCC swap is the best way to go....speaking thru' experience of course.

Hi, i just get my bmw 525 2004 japan spec this week. I got a problem now. When i speed up tremendously when car in stagnant(if when moving, no this problem), the "trasmission error' warning appear on screen and reverse is not allow.I can only use 3rd gear to drive. This will dissappear after i restart the car. If i speed up slowly from stop, then no such problem. Do anyone meet this? Please advise. Thanks
