Jap Spec E60 - do's and don't

i wonder if there is any such service in jb? i knew tat the meter can be easily tampered and those car meter had been tampered soon after its touched down at the port. logically think, its highly impossible that the car with 3years old only registered at 13k milleage. that means anually, the car onli get to run and hit 4,400km on road....which appear HIHGLY impossible to me. my two cents

my car when i took it was about 9700km..this was about a month ago...mine is 04 model...

the key reader and the mileage on the meter matched!!

now my car is about 11500km...i oso dunno what to believe...hahaha

when the odo was tampered n re-set into 9,700 (lets assume that they tampered the original milleage) and you put in your key, will the key automatically sync itself into the latest update? though as claim tat the key cant be tampered. the key need not to be tampered, instead it will read itself and update the latest data that as show once you put in your key to starter. hmm....do u really beleive that your car onli hit 9700km on the road since 2004 untill to-date? I seriously doubt tis dude

In general, it is believable. Jap people tend not to use their cars much as parking is damn expensive and their public transport is simply too efficient. For me, my mileage read about 16,000km for a 2004 car. It seemed to check out from the service records as well. As long as condition is good, I didn't get too bothered about whether mileage was true or not.

The number of man-hours involved for 8 cars is horrendous. A group-buy may or may not be attractive because I'd imagine it's mostly about the labour time. Although with prices shooting up, could be worth considering. Good luck folks.

in their country, getting a car is very cheap compare to our msia "IMPORT TAX HIGH". so to them changing a car is as simple as ABC. well i don really trust my 13k milleage tat hit on my E60 simply beacuse the leather is very dirty (in very black condition). if 3years only hitting 13k, can u explain to me why that the leather become sooooooooooo DIRTY? n its reallllllll dirty as if the car is used more then daily. only the two in front appear to be blackish....the rear still ok but dirty too. hmm...i don no...o perhaps im just utter nonsese here. sigh......anyway no more complaint since i already used the car for almost a year now, hehe.

hi alxy..since u've spoken with Freddy,can u maybe speak to him on our behalf to get a deal and workout a time frame where we can have the job done.u're right,i don't think all of us will be going at once..so maybe all 8 of us can discuss on a slot each that is convenient.oh yeah,we need to find another to make the total 9 to get a good discount according to mienauto..

it will be very good if we can somehow retain the TV function..however,worse case scenario,i'd be happy to forego the TV if nothing could be done la.

additional items such as ACM,Dension etc should be on individual basis la i think?? most important we should take care of the basic CCC swap first.

i hope we can all agree..
