When I changed mine at 65,000km, the ATF oil was completely pitch black! Crazy that BMW says that it is supposed to last a lifetime...
i just change mine. the color is like kopi o....hopefully not too late

Hello diesel dudes..

Took out the engine recently and after everything went back in.. i notice i can actually can see my tyres from the engine bay; left and right. Not too sure if its original or the workshop forgot to the banana cover. Can anyone of you take a short peek in your engine bay to confirm?

Hi guys I'm just curious about the right mileage to change my 2010 E90 320D LCI ATF. Some said we should replace it at 75k and 40k respectively. I'm running at 55k now. I bought it pre-owned btw. Previous owner has been sending it to AB and I believe he hasn't got it replaced. Are there any other parts or maintenance that I must be aware of besides ATF?

Brake fluid. I am very sure that I drive capture your brake fluid replacement mileage or month of replacement whichever comes first.

wanna check with my bros over in 320d as it is more happening here....

I got a e60 520d.... lately having brake issue whereby the brake pedal will be hardened (with engine running) after release and depress a few times. it will recover after you release the brake pedal for about 10secs. the nightmare will come again when you press the brake pedal and release again multiple time especially in traffic jam condition.

when the brake pedal hardened, the brake is not effective. hardly can stop my fat car.

the workshop found clean oil stain from the brake vacuum hose.

the suspect problem with brake boaster and vacuum pump as diesel generate the vacuum different (petrol is from the manifold).

wondering anyone faced such issue? what is the cost of replacing it?

Hey guys.. it has been a while since I've posted here.
Just wanted to know from you guys who are on DTUK,what maps are you using on your cars? I'm currently on map3 +2 on my X1 20d and just lovin' it.But I'm getting worried about my drivetrain.. the torque increase is pretty amazing, and while I might love the point n shoot(scoot) driving,my 4WD drivetrain might be suffering.
Would running map2 +2 smoothen out the curve?

Tried searching in other forums but only came back with only a slight understanding of the maps and what they mean.Too many different views.

Hi Sifus,

I noticed wind noise from both A pillar when I was driving at 120km/hr. I cant be 100% sure that no air gushing through the sealing strip but those rubber still in good condition from the way it look. Just curious if anyone has encounter the same issue. Thanks!

As much as we want to smoothen the curve, that is the disadvantages of the piggyback as what it does it manipulate the figures for the ECU.

The only way to smoothen curves is go for a full ECU remap, this is one of the reasons why folks choose the powerkit from BMW.

Like what Albundy says, don't pay too much attention to your car's noises, just enjoy the car!

I enjoyed it alot. Now is to eliminate the noise... Will change the front wind screen rubber seals and see how thing goes. Thanks guys!

Hi. Just wanna ask how many kilometers did your M-sport absorbers last? Anyone had them change under warranty? Mine feels floaty already at 40k.
