My PE installed at Quill, doesn't sound as nice as on a petrol car, almost no difference. How is yours Dr Wah? I think this mod is more for esthetics. Anyone know how much power is gained from it?

Thanks.

Transmission jerkiness is the abrupt changing of 2nd to 3rd gear at a speed about 30km/h or 3rd to 4th gear (50-60km/h)

The fix was an actual physical fix or a software update or reset?

It is a software fix, but very troublesome one. that needs to run the car at highway and reset the gear value at every 2000rpm. I don't know much about that. But it seems work so far

Finally , completion of my Engine Power Mod. Next will looking for Performance Chassis

Performance chassis about 7-8k, save money first...also need a space to hide the parts...

Bro what u mean by performance chassis?
Body kits? Or another springs or suspension?

Thanks for Jwah updates, I had this jerky problems too, seem like quite common. Hopefully will get them fix it for next service.

Transmission Adaptive Reset that you need to do

The transmission messed up and placed the 2nd gear to 3rd gear shift at 30km/h. It supposes to be at 10-15km/h. Therefore the huge torque that jerk the car! 320d will feel more, 320d powerkited will feel like a broken gear key.

Performance chassis = Front ARB, Rare ARB, Uprated Spring, Uprated Absorber, Uprated bushes , More stiff and lowered the car by 2 cm. M3 setup!

Where can u purchase all those? From Quill or authorized BMW dealers? Other outside shops selling?

does anyone know the price of a power kit now for 320d?

I called Ingress just last week and they said RM9,000. I don't know why but as I read through this forum on the history of the Power Kit prices, it seems to have started at 7k, then rose to 12k and now down to 9k. That's some terrible pricing strategies! What's up with BMW Malaysia?!

In any case, you have to pay RM9k in full, then they order to parts (2 business days to deliver, shipped from Singapore as the parts for the region are stocked there) and then half day to install.

I'm thinking of going for it. Honnestly, RM2k premium over what our bros here have paid is not so bad. At least we've had time to see how the Power Kit has affected their cars ;-) Either way, I will be going for it either this week or next week!

Oh and one more things bros, when I called Ingress, I told them my car was a 2009 E90 320d with 177hp and they said you CAN install the BMW Power Kit. I then spoke to the Senior Technician to make sure his junior knew what he was talking about and he said the same thing, "You can, no problem". I asked him again and he said "Yes! For the 177hp diesel it's not a problem!".

So? What takes? True or not? I'm confused now...

Ehh. We were always told 177 320d could not install the power kit. All the offical literature i have seen has always said 177 cant be power kitted. Reason being our torque converters will not be able to take the extra torque or rather too near its design limits. In some countries the 177 power kit comes with a TC as well.

Anyway, there's a post by Wearnes which stated a slightly lower price but that may be because installation not included. Check it out.

Sirimusa,

For such price to invest on 2009 E90, where you are given neither this nor that answers, why not try other alternatives?

I believe the ECU which need to be replaced have to be coded to the recipient car VIN. The last time i heard, this can only be done in BMW Germany, not too sure if it can be done in Singapore now.

I attended the first E90 Power Kit presentation in Malaysia and guess what, many of the attendees went the other way ;)

Cheers..!
