Docrayboy, I just complted an engine service at Wearnes BMW and inquired about the Power Kit. They checked my chassis number, engine and everything else and confirmed I can install it and quoted me for RM10k approx. They were ready for my green light to allow them to proceed. Technician and customer service confirmed. I even have the price quote with me. So according to Wearnes BMW, 100% you can install.

Re: Powerkit
Hi Raymond

Based on the given chasis no (PM1PN34030VL97571), we have checked with BMW Malaysia. Unfortunately, the diesel power kit is not applicable to E90 manufactured before March 2010.

Thank you.

maybe yours is 177hp but after March 2010-go for it then! Lucky you! If you have the 10k approx., please do it! Dont waste time. Life is short. Power is everything..with control, of course.

Doc Ray, we are early adopters of the diesel revolution. No powerkit no cry. Still got DTUK, Vector, etc.

LOL! I'm so confused right now.
FYI guys I just posted a massive complaint to Wearnes BMW under their own Wearnes section. Horrible service FYI. So I'm wondering if the guys had ANY clue what they were talking about when they quoted me for the Power Kit and if they actually knew whether it was possible or not. The way things stand docray, I trust you, your knowledge and experience more than what Wearnes has told me.

I will take my car to AB or Ingress next week and let you guys know what they say.
Otherwise I did call Derek already and getting ready for that Vector... Oh boy!!!!! ;-)

no rush bro,get your facts right and no harm getting 2nd or 3rd opinion.
Maybe you need to drop by our Diesel TT to test all kind of powerkitted cars, vectored car,DTUked car, racechipped car and/or any combination of above.
Not to mention pedalbox too. heheh

By the way, I was at MPS Tyre last week for a new set of shoes for the 320d and saw someone's 320d looking real sharp: great carbon grey 18 or 19" wheels and a wonderful twin exhaust Remis tip. Looked amazing! Who was it? Where did you get that amazing exhaust tip?!? I'm installing it next!

FYI, allow me to confirm that MPS has a phenomenal service, excellent alignement and balancing. I'm extremely happy with their job!

If I am not mistaken, I saw a pair of Remus exhaust tips at Atmosphere Motorsports. One of the club vendor here.

I know a few Carbon grey and if you were talking about Saturday, I think I might know whose it is. Were you at MPS on Saturday?

Yes I was at MPS last Saturday morning. There 3 other 3 series at the same time all belonging to forum members here looking at the stickers on them.

Do please let me know where to get those Remus tips!

Those would be the naughty diesel guys alrite.

The tips were bought in pandan via a group buy mid 2010 if I am mot mistaken. Cost around rm350 or slightly more at the time. Sorry cant recall the places name or number.

Road safety tip. If u see the grey 320d, stay far away or be ready for a race. :burnout:

Docray got the contact for the exhaust ..do contact him

Had a run with a F30 328 few weeks back, NSE highway after Melaka before exiting Tangkak/Muar. Didnt realized we were both doing 230kmh-240kmh. That 328 has top end power and pickup is not bad either. My 320d is Power kitted, fortunately can keep up with the 328 at acceleration and top speed. and still do 700km before fillup. hehehehe I love my D.

Drive safe y'all.

I got the Remus dual tip exhaust installed. I must admit it looks very aggressive, and fills up the exhaust well fully. Unfortunately for us diesel owners, the exhaust does vibrate quite a lot when the car is idle. But overall, looks great!

FYI someone stole the front BMW logo on my car by prying it out. Anyone know where I can buy a new logo apart from AB, Ingress, Wearnes, etc.?
