zhul and namidub,

which service centre do u guys go to?
for my case, i even argued with the guy but the SA said cant. somemore the oil level is at the bottom line and they dnt even want to top it up. he calims that they will only follow the indicator. arrghh!!

I go to Ingress

I checked it through the on board computer. It stated my oil level as >Max. Usually if it is between the min and max level, it will state OK.

Better go to your SC and get it fixed. Overfilling is bad, worse than underfilling. I suspect some moron didn't fully drain the old engine oil, so now you have too much of it when they filled up with the new one. Create hell at the SC if they are unwilling to help. Drive slowly and don't tekan until you get it fixed.

Thanks Zhul for the advice. Apparently I have a feeling this so called BMW SC which demand specific service appointment and all those computerised system didn't even bother to do the simple check the on final oil level after servicing and returning the car. Even my mechanic "bawah pokok" whom I can walk in any time, made sure he check the dip stick after every oil change on my pick up truck before returning it to me!

guys,

all 320d's should be able to check engine oil level via onboard computer?
mine is july 2010 model (without idrive) and i dont an option to check engine oil level in my onboard computer but mine do have a dip-stick to check manually.

pls advise.

I think one of our diesel comrades had this racechip,as per our discussion at last TT.
Man,u interested to try this one instead?

No lah.
Just wondering if anyone had it. Anyone not in the game can consider based on the user experience. Looking at the price, its kind of compelling buy.

Whats' the difference?

Met Dr. Wah this morning. He is kind enough to show me this exhaust workshop to change to straight pipe.

The twin pipes is arranged in a slightly staggered manner to mimic the original arrangement (follow the bumper profiling curve).

Hi Bro. morrogan,

Whats' the difference between yours modified exhaust system with this one:

http://www.bmwclubmalaysia.com/foru...-Exhaust-Muffler-System-for-E90-320i-amp-320d

Its looks like yours exhaust's tailpipe have better finishes, wherelse the BMW Performance Exhaust Muffler looks very simple.

Cheers

chee huat..... bro morrogan is pure cosmetic, cutting tip but still keeping the old box.. as for the performance exhaust is a box upgrade..
I too have sunated my d... a different tip..

Thanks Bro. eric_s,
Haha, now I understand.

But our 320d already a bit high level in sound.

If change to BMW performance exhaust will it be very noisy all the while we are driving? ^_^

Dear Bro. Chee Huat,

For the cosmetic twin pipes tip change (RM150), there is no physical increase in performance. However, mentally +10bhp..

Thanks, Bro. morrogan,

the +10bhp means what? more noisy is it? ^_^

No lah even the performance one no sound, you won't like it, but it may increase 3hp...RM3200...not worth the price

Yes there is someone with the racechip. The end result is the same ie more power/torque :D The beauty of the DTUK is the sheer number of settings you get out of it that can satisfy your needs but it's obviously more expensive.

Yep, I have it in my car. It is smoother than ori settings and saves fuel too. I got it while overseas and happen upon an online offer. Cannot resist a good deal :D

Thanks bro for the feedback.

Of course the DTUKs and Vectors are more expensive but then you get the flexibility as well.

But for less than the price of an oil change at authorized dealer you can change the cars performance which i think is a pretty good deal. And speaks a lot about the potential of the base car.

So you don't necessarily need to break the bank to get a sweeter ride.

Hmmm looks like my love affair with diesel cars is gonna last a looooong time.
