does your 320d comes with the rim lock nut and a towing hook?
i cant find in mine :s

Rim lock nut yes, it's different per car.

Towing hook? Haven't checked. Is that for us to tow a trailer or for a trailer to tow the car? If it's the former then definitely not.

its in the boot, right hand side compartment once you take out the first aid kit

Fret not, the 5.3 l/100km is not the real world FC.it's what we call 'ideal conditions' FC.
many factors might contribute to this i.e traffic, weather, type of diesel used etc.
Anyhow, monitor the FC after a numerous fillups and it wil average out your FC.
From my experience,on my attempt to get the closest to the claimed FC,i only managed to get 6.1l/100km
And now that i dont really bother about the numbers anymore,my average running FC is at about 7.6l/100km
Considering my style of driving and the speed i go to,the figures are quite respectable IMHO.

Dont worry too much, check your FC again after several fillups then you might know the figure.
if you want to have a long term monitoring of your FC,i'd recommend Fuelly.

BTW,welcome to the forum and like everybody else, kindly introduce yourself in the Newbie section!

Thanks Bro. namidub, already introduce my self in Newbies section.

May I know what is Fuelly? ^_^

Fuelly is a website where people submit their real world fuel usage over time. I personally use Gas Cubby which is an app on my iPhone but it achieves the same thing ie. long term fuel consumption which is 7.4l/100km in my case.

After one month driving my lovely 320d,
every things is perfect just have 3 problem:
1. A bit shaking when the road condition uneven, but when I driving Honda City and Nissan Sentra, don't feel like this before
2. Sound from the door, understand is because of the door rubber not friendly with the high gloss rain water channel (Is fix after send in to do the door shield using transperent tape)
3. Wind blowing sound from back doors when car speed above 110 km/h (Understand need to send in again for 2 days to cut out the triangle door window and redo the silicon, this one still not done, curious that will it be look not original after the technician do all this touch up works?)

Another things is quite disappointed that the problem number 3 will happen (It seems like common problem that the Autobavaria's technician already know what happen when I mentioned that), Honda City and Nissan Sentra also don't have this type of problems why it happen to BMW?

Any senior here already have the explanation from BMW?

Is it I am too unlucky?

Fuelly.com is where i log all my fuel fillups so i can monitor long term FC and usage.
Its updateable via mobile thru smartphones too.check out my signature below with the link to my fuelly account so you have an idea.

CH, dont compare to Sentra and City, we driving beeeemeeerrrssss d laa aiyaa...

Answer to your Q1: the M-sport is stiffer and lower than non-M sport, if comfort is what you want, shudda bought a camry:4:.......:vroam:

Q2 & Q3: seems a prevalent issue with all E90s, for reasons only known to BMW, they're dont seem to give this a priority. Do check on the 1st page of this thread, u are not alone bro :3:

CH,

I can feel your pain when we paid so much and we ended up with something like this. But, nothing is 100% perfect one.... so my take is :

1. Go get the non RFT.. you can feel the different immediately.!! i am on non-RFT.
2. settled already mah....
3. let them do it lah... complain until you are satified.. :)

BMW mah... plenty of defination for this acronym.Pick the one you like.. :)

I think the issue mostly happened to CKD & SKD BMW. I dont have this issue. After BMW factory visit I dun trust local assembled car anymore. At least my cars is made in fully robotic factory and by German sweat. Malaysian are still lack of this and substandard.
Its frustrated when u buy new & premium car to face this issues.

Hi Bro. Kong,

You get my point. ^_^ (Shake Hand)

We paid more than RM200k then we need to visit the service centre some many times within one month, Its really disappointed.
We are really expecting hassle free and peace of mind.

2 years ago when I bought Honda City from Kah Motors and the car is actually assembled in Malacca, from the show room I drove the car and never return any more unless for scheduled services.

I hope something can be done from BMW side.

Out of Story, Bro. Kong, your surname is Kong is it? ^_^

Mine is Kong, how about you, brother?

Hi innitial, my 320d had cracking sound on the two side pillars. So BMW finally managed to fix the prob. Now its one year already and there is no sound. I also cant hear any extraordinary wind sound when above 110km. The car is quite smooth at above 160km also. Touch wood...so far there is no prob with my car and I m quite happy with it. Just curious to know what kind of substandard work you noticed at the BMW factory in kulim. Would appreciate if you can eloborate. THKS

Thanks Bro. BaddBoyz3, Yupe, I proud as Beemeers. :)
And I like M-Sport version very much. ^_^
Cheers

Then u shud've joined us up & down Cameron the other day. So far all our drives were nothing but 'exciting' :hint::3: so what if for a few minor creaks & wind noise, small problems that can be solved.

p/s: Had a chance to test my friends E250 yesterday, very soft and luxurios compared to our "lowly d's". Conclusion: no way I'm changing to that! haha...:4:
